I don't know why she has a following. She's not funny and asking for companies to work with her for her wedding is pathetic.

Her video/filming style hasn't changed at all since her one viral video a few years ago. I followed her channel up until a few months ago when I realised I wasn't even watching her videos anymore and the videos I had watched didn't leave a lasting impression on me so I unsubscribed. She must be getting tips for approaching companies from the main blogger who has her wedding later this year.

TAP TAP TAP TAP - oh let me show you all the things I got that I love and you will never see again! TAP!!

Of all the things they snap about, these "events" are the least interesting to me. Why oh why would snaps of a crowd of people, the floor and biscuits be of interest to anyone?! Is that just me or do people enjoy seeing these events? What value is there to the follower?

And it's the same thing from every single one of them.

Honestly, snaps of Joanne's legs as she's walking to the gym are more interesting than these Benefit snaps tonight and that's saying something! It would seem the bigger bloggers are above going to every random event as it's the smaller ones who are at it. Guess the smaller they are, the more they need to be seen at these things.

These bloggers cant be having too much fun if they are glued to their phones, i reckon going to one of these events are boring af if they are all snapchatting on how "great" it is!! Its great that they have them , I know brands need to have the events but they should take the bloggers phones off them during it so they cannot snapchat, it drives me mad!!

The goody bag-box thing they got will prob never see the light of day again.

I'll give them some credit, they might use one tomorrow... and then it will be put in the back of the IKEA drawer!! Even though I must admit, I love seeing peoples collection of makeup but then I think how will anyone ever use everything- you only have one face!

Do they get paid for going to events like the Benefit one? Or no?

Only in makeup so it's not taxable :D

I wouldn't have thought so but maybe they do!

Nah I doubt it. I presume its about them getting their own face out there, as well as the company getting extended marketing from the bloggers. You just can't buy that amount of exposure. I'm also sure Benefit can claim expenses back for the goody bag etc.

nobody has ever really said, I would like to think they are just invited to go and then if they do they get a goodie bag. I wouldn't think that they would get paid but then again you just don't know. Like Rosemary is always very open with her #ads and when she is at events she just says she was invited, just like any journalist out there. But then again I could be completely wrong and they could be getting paid

I snapped Marissa to tell her she was giving incorrect information regarding Trnd Beauty being the only website where you can get La Girl in Ireland, she didn't respond or correct her mistake on her snaps. So she's effectively peddling lies for the owners of the website.

Does anyone else think those particular snaps had the look of an ad but weren't hashtagged as such

I would say that she was giving them publicity more for exchange of being in the goodie bags for the weekend. I would put that under the umbrella of the grey area of advertisement where its like a barter system. I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine! Which is great to see that they are supporting each other.

Regarding the false information, I am not sure where else you can by LA Girl- perhaps you can buy it on beautybay.com that is another great place to find American brands... She shouldn't be giving out information that is incorrect I do agree with you there. But in my opinion it doesn't seem like a paid ad I would just say she was talking about it because they were sponsoring goodie bags.

Yeah can definitely buy it on Beauty Bay, have bought it from there myself very recently.

I don't normally follow her, only added her to hear about the coat someone had mentioned here earlier today so didn't know they were supplying bits for her goodie bags, but yeah that's prob why she's mentioning them so.

Had a quick look at their website, there are so many of the stock lines marked as sold out that I can only assume they have given half their stock to her!

I'd use beauty bay anyday over that site , there is absolutely nothing on that trend beauty!! Its all out of stock, thats no good to anyone!!

What is that LA girl stuff like? I have heard a lot about it and know its cheap. is it worth the hype?! I'd take your opinion over any blogger/youtuber!

I only bought their HD foundation as I'd heard a lot of people online comparing it to the Makeup Forever HD one and saying it was a good dupe. I've actually not used it yet as I bought it in Fair but I think I should have got Porcelain instead so think it's a bit dark for me. I'll add a quick review to the beauty forum once I try it out.

Absolutely an ad you should have tweeted her she can't ignore that.

Anouska being the absolute worst for it as always.

God knows how someone who apparently never gets paid to post things could afford to casually take a year off to travel the world just there...

Yeh Anouska is particularly bad for not disclosing. She started off on boards in the Fashion forum years and years ago.

I think it's just a desperate attempt to get followers to cross over from one platform to another... 'comment #snapchatfam!!' Butt, why?

C Boucher doesn't appear to be great at using #ad either.

It's to build up the comments sections of their other platforms to show engagement with followers. It boils down to them making more money. I'm Just Here For The Tea has a video on YouTube explaining it.

I see fairy blogger has 3 posts up tagging and declaring statements of obsession with workout clothes brand sweaty betty (appropriate for her). No sign of #ad or #spon anywhere. Perhaps there's no need to in this case. Just seems strange that 3 separate posts would be created to show the brand of there was nothing in it for the blogger .

She said she bought it in London! I think people do that so the brands take notice and maybe send them some stuff? That's just my thinking! But from what I could see it isn't #ad. Why she needs morenindont know cos she has new stuff all the time!!

Fair enough if bought herself but the repetitive brand plugging looks,in my opinion, like she's either getting something for it, or else after something for it.

Marissa carter is getting worse for constantly plugging and with no #ad.
she has her own business why does she need to do it so often without transparency.
It actually puts me off wanting to buy her products especially with the comment about trend beauty being the only company who ships milani here.
That's not true and she never checked before making the statement.

Nima brush is doing a lot of promoting with no hashtags lately, this morning was a few things one being The D from her friends at miss fit skinny tea.

I am sick of seeing meaghers and miss fit skinny all the time.

Its an attempt to get more comments on YT videos under the guise of the influencer wanting to know where her followers are coming from. More comments & likes on YT vids means they more higher up the recommended list on YT = more €€€

For the last (honestly) time: you only have to #ad if something is paid for. Do you really think Niamh @ Nima's FRIEND is paying her to talk about her product? Do you think Marissa has been PAID by TRNDBeauty to talk about their site? Or do you think it could just be that they're doing it as a favour – maybe because, in the former case, they're friends and, in the latter case, because TB is giving items for Marissa's Masterclass?

This is such BS – people don't have to put #ad or #sp or #spon if they haven't been paid by a brand. They just don't. And if people start hashtagging stuff they haven't been paid for, we're back to square one where nobody knows if anyone's being honest or disclosing commercial partnerships!
