Sorry can we just roll back a bit... the price is 330 euro, its €30 more expensive than a PS4 or Xbox One

Why in the Christmas do some consider this too expensive? A pipe dream that it would be 250, I bought a *new* 3DS XL last Christmas for that price, get a grip on yourselves. A Wii U costs 299 for god sake

I can safely say it wont cost that for too long.

The console was only properly introduced today, the presentation said there are 80 games on the way for the switch, i would imagine now that nintendo has opened the gates, that more games companies will be able to announce thre upcoming games in the 7 week run up to the consoles launch. Be patient and its a good opportunity to those that haven't been in the wiiu generation and will now have the pleasure of playing some of the best wiiu games rejigged for the switch. A zelda launch in march, mario kart deluxe a month later and splatoon 2 in May/june. Im really looking forward to them and that intresting looking mario game in time for Christmas :)
The point is the had the attention of the world, everyone was curious, they should of pulled out all the stops to deliver a glimpse of every single game they could, and give all the answers everyone wanted and blow everyone's mind.
But instead they have chased off a lot of potential customers they haven't touched a Nintendo console since the Wii.

No games with it for €330, Smyths said Zelda is €65 so €395 with one game throw another €65 for the pro controller and that's €460. That is a lot of dough in the first week of March. I preordered mine at 12pm Today.

I kind of love it I have to say.

I reckon it will be very successful.

Nintendo always get **** whenever they announce anything from the 3DS to the Wii U. The Wii U actually got a lot of praise at the time.

Nintendo portables tend to do very well. I expect this hybrid to do the same.

They get **** because they make the same mistakes over and over again.

    This will definitely flop.

I really don't know what you have seen to suggest it won't be a flop?

Playing Nintendo games online on the toilet.

Nintendo don't or any other company for that matter want you to game share... a digital purchase is a licence for you not a license to give to your mates.

Well when your in a house with two consoles it makes sense, plus digtal sales are soaring because of it which stops companies like gamestop selling 2nd hand games and taking from the industry, so I would think games company like game sharing off the record hence why its possible in the first place.

Fair play to them with this treehouse stream after the ropey start with lag. Nearly going 5 hours at this stage.

I'd love to have seen the Mario game as a launch title!

Confirmed it will be more like 64 and Sunshine rather than the recent Mario games.

Point is, Sony, MS or Steam don't do this either, it would be ludicrously expensive

Oh please give that bull**** a grave to live in  used games hurt the industry my fcuking arse do they.

Big bad GameStop trying to hurt the games industry. If they could make a decent profit off new games they wouldn't bother selling used, but don't spin me the ****e that the companies keeping 90% of a sale are hurting for money, you should stop reading PR spindle

Nope. Treehouse is wrapping up with 1-2 Switch.

And? You don't get a game with the PS4 when it launched for €400.

You do now which could sway some people towards either a PS4 or Xbone

Gonna need a carry case for portability, that's like 15-20 quid.

No to both but you'd imagine that Skyrim will at least have all the DLC even if it doesn't look as good as the updated console versions.

    European carry all?

Yeah but when the PS4 launched it was competing with the Xbox One which was in a similar position. Now the Switch is going head to head with both of those consoles and two years of games and price drops.

A milking game in 1,2 switch.

    Jesus.

They way some of ye go on  if you're so strapped for cash that you can afford 330 and then 60 quid for a game, perhaps gaming isn't the hobby for you? I can see a thing wrong with the price, they kept it under 400, excepting 250 is just ludicrous.

Nintendo doesn't compete with anyone. If they wanted to be competitive the Wii U would've launched more or less the same power as PS4 or Xbox One, they didn't, because they don't care.

Of course they compete. They manufacture video games!

They didn't release the Wii U with the hope that it would be everyone's favourite second console.

This idea that Nintendo don't care about the rivals is a bit ludicrous.
