Did we see a different game? Arms looks cool!

It looks like they stepped back in time with a Wii game. Nothing about that looks good to me.

ARMS looked like a cross between Punch Out and Wii Sports boxing

A hands on 'review' from Tech Radar. Very positive.

Is this a joke by Nintendo?

    32g storage in 2017?

$70 for a controller, who knows what that will cost over here

3 year old consoles that were €400 at launch without anything close to Zelda standard games, hardly a fair comparison.

Disappointed with the price, was hoping it would max at 300.

Joy-Cons are very cool and an incredible device if they're accurate to what Ninty say they can do but they are very gimmicky, and the gimmicks are whats making them expensive.

Doubt we'll see any Pokémon mentions until at least this Summer, Sun and Moon are only 2 months out, don't know how people were expecting to see another new game.

Overall I'm impressed with the console, launch lineup isn't fantastic so far but Zelda will give a few weeks at least hopefully, with Master Quest to double that, and we'll have Mario Kart by June, just two months after launch.

Is there a source for the rumours that skyrim will launch for 60 odd quid?

MK8 Deluxe will be out at the end of April. It's been confirmed.

It's unfortunately a very good comparison. Why by a new console with limited games and lower spec than a console with a cheaper price and a 3 year library?

Nintendo really need to focus on distancing itself from its competitors to offer a new experience.

    32 gigs?

    Oh dear

Expandable with dirt cheap SD cards so I don't see the issue here?

Yeah I love having to buy something on day 1 of my €300+ brand new console.

The real winners after that presentation are Wii U owners.

    Looks pretty good so far.

Only real disappointment for me is it's priced a bit higher than I thought it was going to be. Was hoping for €300 and maybe 1-2-Switch or similar as a pack in game.

Launch window games look ok so far, hopefully the Treehouse stream will shed more light on this. Both PS4 and XBOX One had fairly poor launch games too.

The last of the big 3 to charge for online is a kick in the nuts too. Sony and Microsoft bring in so much money from subscriptions I guess it was to be expected.

Why would you have to buy it day 1? If there's enough games on launch day anyway, you wouldn't need a big memory card :pac:

Still an extra €70 for 128gb and with that you max out at 160gb entirely, pretty much ruling out downloading any half-decent game library.

Was hoping that they'd allow external hard-drive support for the home dock at least.

I have at least 3 32gb MicroSD cards lying around at home. A non issue.

You pretty much have to do the same with a PS4 and Xbox One where even a 1 TB hard disk is useless.

Can't see this doing any better than Wii U.

The games library is so important to its success. I don't think there's enough in the hardware over what the Wii U had to drive people towards it.

Were cube games confirmed? Haven't had a chance to watch the video yet.

Are there likely to be more games mentioned on this Treehouse yokey?

Love the look of the machine, love Zelda on launch day...

But a few more launch games would be nice.

Nope. Only mention of virtual console at all was saying we'd get SNES and NES games with the subscription service.

It kind of needs that Wii Sports/Nintendogs game that really shows the potential of the machine over the competition. The machine kind of has the same issue as the WiiU, it's a console with a screen built in.

To be fair, anything from the SNES era will most likely be way better than the shïte given to us for Sony's offering...

True, but Nintendo has such a vast back catalogue I wanna pay them for to play it on Switch!

What time is the Treehouse stream due to kick off at?

2:30 I believe. There's a hell of a lot riding on it too for me personally.

The VC varies a lot from region to region so it wouldn't be universal so couldn't really be shown in the presentation. Neo Geo games are coming to VC in Japan though. from other information released.

You have some sd cards lying around so it's a non issue for everyone?...........right

Point is you shouldn't have to buy more storage. Even if the games are small it's still a tiny memory. Not like it seems they mad it cheaper because of this

I'm 57 minutes in to the presentation and up to page 237 on this thread. There's a long way to go, have to say though that if it plays like it looks, Arms could be a new Splatoon. Everything Dragonball Z on the Wii / Streetfighter on PC with glove-pied Kinect and custom scripts should have been. And it suggests that Dance games on the Switch are going to be the shiz, especially if there are left and right joy-con ankle holsters....

Anyway, back to work, I'll watch the rest over the weekend. Regretting not pre-ordering now, cause I probably won't get one ahead of the summer :(
