So am prob gonna pull the trigger and get this phone. Camera is a big deal for me so more recent comments sound promising.
Is the 128 GB worth it?
People feel overall its worth the money?

I have the 128gb and I love it. At the moment I've 83% storage available so that's plenty for me, but other than Google music I haven't put anything major on the phone yet. For example, while I've about 100 apps on the phone, I haven't put on any games yet.

I was struggling with my HTC one M8 for space and l had slimmed things down considerably for the past few months. Only have this phone about 10 days and haven't had a chance to reinstall non essential apps/games etc.

For the sake of the extra 40euro I am happy to have gotten the extra storage over the 64gb tbh.

I'm not much for cameras. I only take photos at parties, events etc the odd time and store them on Google so I wouldn't be a great expert on quality. It's certainly no worse than my HTC one M8 and from what I've seen so far photos seem grand to me, but as I'm not a heavy camera user it wouldn't be a major issue for me.

Overall the phone is lightening fast, smooth, looks great and has good battery life. The dash charge is unbelievable in fairness to it super quick at getting a decent charge into it.

Using nova launcher myself but the stock launcher is grand too

We have two OP2s, one OP3 and one OP3T phones in this house and none of them have any issues with the camera, I've taken some amazing pics with mine.

Got the OP3T, great phone, was a little disappointed at the volume quality as that hasn't improved from the OPO, infact I think it's not as good. Everything else tho is great, the front facing camera is far superior to most phones, the fingerprint unlock is amazingly fast, it's great to compare it to the iPhone one.

Best of all is charging it. My One Plus One was very temperamental, the reversible USB-C charger charges my new 3t so fast. It's great that you can plug your phone in for 20 minutes and get nearly a half charge!

I got the Orzly v2 double pack, its ok but not great.

    + fits the phone perfectly
    + cheap
+ you get two of them
    - only has adhesive on the black/white parts
    - its a fingerprint magnet
    - makes the phone much more reflective
    - you can see loads of tiny dots in some light

What tempered protectors are you all using? This will do until I find something better, the Orzly for my Oneplus One was much bettere and had none of the above problems.

Bought the "official" OP one, but am still using the protector that came on the phone. Will only switch when I have to.

Anyone here use google play music with their 3T? It looks like whenever you try fast forward a track it skips right back to the beginning.

Yep, haven't experienced that problem myself though. How are you fast forwarding - moving the progress bar, or holding the skip button?

Seems a few people are having this issue.

Exact same for me. Deleted them both using browser for Facebook at the minute.

Just checked as my battery is draining faster than usual and you guys are right Both FB and Messenger are the culprit! Cheers! Helped me a lot! Thought i was going nuts. I'm on 3.2.8 OP3.

What rubbish look at that battery stats

What's up with the OP3/3t? Is the battery failing?

Similar here, FB need to sort their apps out!

Phone is warmer than usual and seems to be draining faster today. I don't have FB messenger but FB is currently at 15% of my battery use despite me barely being on it today. Android system is at 24% and Android OS at 18%. Do the latter 2 look right to you people? I don't really know what it "should" look like.

Anyone still experiencing battery drain after unintelligible FB and messenger? Apparently uninstalling the Google calendar updates will fix/improve the situation. I'm not 100% on whether mine is draining too fast as it's not as drastic as others are reporting. Maybe because I don't have Messenger installed.

The progress bar, doesnt seem to fast forward by holding the skip button. Its weird though, it only happens on the first song you play on an album if you skip to the next song I'm able to fast forward using the progress bar.

On 4.0.1 since yesterday and battery definitely drained quicker today, and i also have that google music problem. I cant fast forward a song any way or it will revert back to start of song.

Try Metal or Fast apps for Facebook. Browser based but no battery drain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,733 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

Just tried out Play Music and it's happening to me too. Odd.

Actually I've noticed today my battery was dead by 6pm today when usually it would be at 40%. Was thinking that was strange!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,342 ✭✭✭davo2001

Same issues here since updating to 4.0.1 and 4.0.0 before that.

I've done a full restore and clear the cache partition also and the problem remains.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,850 ✭✭✭Cianos

Glad I wasn't the only one who had this today. Phone has been warmer, and the battery has drained a lot quicker. I haven't done the 4.0.1 update fwiw.

Is this an issue with the latest Facebook update, or something else?

I deleted FB app and no more issues. I'm using Swipe for FB app which isn't as fluid but has Messenger contained in it like FB used to which is handy. Android OS and System are back down to <5% of battery stats.
