Autumn leaves on the Lee Road in Cork, I took the pic as that's the last chance I'll have to run there after work 'til next year when the evenings brighten up again :(

Wow! Fantastic photos and an incredibly beautiful spot. Looks like about 3 miles across (5k for the Europeans). Ever yearn for new places to run or can you just spin over to the mainland by boat when you have a whim?

its a 1/4 mile wide and about 3 miles long, ferry twice daily and helicopter once a week from this month onwards so no issues getting off when i want

Galtee mountains yesterday, plenty of snows but not actually that cold.
Though I'm sure the 50 or so walkers I met thought I was friggin crazy.

Did about 10miles including going up Galtymore via Galtybeg, cracking weather as it was a lovely clear day. Most of the snow was ankle deep so hard going to run in it.

Spent a week in Barcelona with the family. Did some nice runs around the place. Avoiding the busy and trafficlight-a-plenty city streets, I ventured upwards and found a lovely park (Guinardo) with lovely trails and as a bonus links out onto Parc Guell of Gaudi fame, with great views of the city. Photo isn't brilliant (iphone) and was a few mins before a downpour drenched me.

A few photos from runs during the frosty weather a few weeks ago.
Two are views of the Dartry Mountains, Sligo. The third is the Garavogue River, Sligo.

The highpoint of my longest training run of 2016. 5 hours climbing from sea level to get the view.

That air must have been crystal clear. Not a hint of haze.

That was one of the better days there alright. And of course the air is generally very clear up there (Hence the expensive collection of optical telescopes a few K down the ridgeline!)

Visiting my brother in his new abode (Houthavens, Amsterdam, Netherlands), out for a chilly morning run:

Out-and-back along this breakwater was particular character-building due to sub-zero chill-factor:

On the way to Ballincollig parkrun this morning, like the mist rising from the river. Did this last the week before last & it was still dark at roughly the same time.

Walked into work yesterday in the snow so was surprised how nice the evening was, spotted a rainbow out on the old railway line (familiar to anyone who's run the Cork marathon).
