A false dichotomy has unwittingly been set up where it's either: men are superior to women or men and women are identical in every way. Because the former proposition is untenable, the latter is presumed. In reality, neither of the two are accurate. Men and women are simply different. However, because the human ego comes to fundamentally identify itself based on these differences through the process of sex polarisation at an early stage of development, our understanding of them is skewed profoundly to the point where we have a very distorted image of the nature of man and woman.

I do get that what she wrote about her mental health in her articles will always be out there in the public domain, such is the nature of the media beast. My view is, that I find it irrelevant to the other stuff she writes about being discussed in this thread.

TBH, I wouldn’t have any issue with her writing about her mental health experiences as she has a young fan base. It could do a lot to remove stigma among that younger age group. That has pretty much always been my view on quite a few taboo subjects. But, there has been some interesting insights from other posters in this thread, namely this one that gave me pause for thought:

Point well made. While I am still of the mindset that it is good to get these things mainstream and have national discussions on these matters, I do accept there is a danger that glamming them up can end up causing the opposite effect of what they are intended to do. I would hope that all concerned parties that are involved are mindful of this.

That's what the term ''fetishisation of victimhood'' is about.
It's almost like a club for victims.

Oh my gosh-this is the post of 2016, for me. Especially in terms of autism self diagnosis.

I hate that Santa is a white man. We've been programmed since day 1 that we must not only rely on white men for happiness, but should behave a certain way and then beg for our own happiness in return. No doubt a lump of coal is considered to be a negative thing because of its colour too .The female elves get paid less because of the wage gap also. I hope to start a campaign next year for a mixed race genderless Santa or our children are doomed .

Santa has his own problems - he's overweight and his BMI is probably off the scale. Leave him alone. He is what he is. Why does everything have to be PC'd to within an ounce of its life. Barbie's Ken is white too but he's gender neutral and deformed. Everybody has their problems.

Gets a lot of hate from folks regarding her factual feminsim. And when I say hate, it's usually feminists. She's written books, but her youtube channel is where she debunks so many myths, including the pay gay.
