Somewhat OT but to people who returned to Amazon using ParcelMotel, what did you send as a receipt? None of the return labels indicate postage costs etc.

Fill out a support request asking for a postage receipt, and they will email you one.

I'm puzzled why they didn't choose products that ship to Ireland and Amazon is the seller then there's no messing when you need to return the item.
There's reviews and grades on the items, that should be checked before you order not after.
Some used knives with reviews saying fakes and deliver/return using parcel motel, I have to wonder what were they thinking buying them in the first place.

^ My item was probably working fine before they sent it..

Though badly handed in transit... hole through Amazon box right through to item inside box and made a dent on item.

My experiences with warehouse deals have been as follows, one pair of trousers size wrongly labeled, returned by original buyer and resold without amending the size. I bought them, was refunded and told to keep them.

Led lenser head torch returned as faulty and resold to me without them being repaired, they had the original batteries still fitted so just resold with nothing done to remedy the fault. Refunded, told to keep and easy fix to repair them. Would obviously have returned them like original buyer if I'd paid full price.

One graphic novel, not a mark; perfect in fact probably returned as unwanted or something.

One luminous rainproof running jacket which people are advised to buy size up from their normal fit. So again probably returned as wrong size, the incorrect size in this case was a perfect fit for me and an absolute steal of a bargain.

One complete order MIA so hopefully who ever got it, it works for them as they won't be able to return it :P

So electrical goods seem to be very hit and miss, where as clothes if you check might be worth a gamble. Books, graphic novels are as described, mine was described as near perfect, was totally perfect.
In future I'd avoid electrical goods, I'd take a punt with graphic novels, books etc, clothes I'd check the full price description.
To be perfectly honest what attracted me most was the 20% off on top of the warehouse discount.

I just snipped the screenshot of the PM screen showing the tracking and a screenshot of my credit card showing the deduction.

Wow I ordered 6 items off warehouse and not one had any damage beyond a dead set of AA batteries (for which they refunded me).

I assumed all warehouse items were like this but buyer beware thanks to this thread.

I've bought a phone, a phone case, a router, cable, joystick, some toys and never has anything been anything other then previously opened from what I can tell. Awaiting three new orders and nervous as didn't know I had been very lucky

Well what I was thinking was that this was a low risk transaction as the knives I bought were sold and shipped by Amazon. Condition of knives was stated as "very good" so I assumed open box or similar. After dealing with them for over 10 years I was very surprised to receive such a dodgy delivery. I wasn't the only customer to complain about this fake set of knives from Amazon.

Amazon as standard offer €9 to cover the cost of returning items to the warehouse. If it costs more you have to get on to them and they will cover the additional cost.

Contact the library for the crack! Tell them you bought it on Amazon as a used product. The response could be interesting!

I fully agree, totally hit and miss..Got a printer off them, 15 euro cheaper than new, and not only was the ink, cables and setup software missing, when I went to register the printer for the cashback offer, it had already been claimed!! Amazon of course refunded the lot and paid postage return costs but way too much hassle for me to ever use warehouse again for a big ticket item..Obviously some will be lucky and purchase something a scobe hasn't fiddled!!
The warehouse can be a bit hit and miss.
I bought a new nowtv box with movies and the movie voucher was missing

Honestly I'd say you could return a brick to amazon instead of the product and they wouldn't check it. I saw a post on reddit I think recently, some guy ordered a projector from warehouse deals, when he opened there was a 10 year old sanyo one in it instead of the nearly new Optoma :D

Yeah I've seen on hukd posts of people getting boxes for Xbox ones and ps4s and Xbox 360s and ps3s being in them.

How do you know which items qualify to trigger the £30 discount?

Takes some balls there with the projector and console examples.

I know a guy once that bought a 120GB Xbox 360 hard drive in Argos and returned the old 20GB one.

    That's what's known as theft :D

Same here with a printer I got.
All the ink carts were completly missing and the rollers (most expensive part) was swaped with a used one.
Hope they contacted the person who sent it back before me.

    “Roll it back”

    whats the story,

does amazon have a online sale at anytime this week? where it goes crazy with prices?

what was the routine in previous years?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 742 ✭✭✭sue97

I got some great stuff but a few disasters. They did take them back and pay postage though.

I got two 3Doodler 2.0 pens with 3 x packs of filaments (Not supposed to be included) with each pen for €18 each. Perfect Condition. Well happy with them. Open box but untouched and i am pretty sure unused.

I got two Fire Tabs from Germany and one is ridiculously slow (Even after doing a load of fixes and resets.) and the other has a blown speaker. Everything sounds like it is being played through a Kazoo. I will not put a custom rom on the slow one for fear it may somehow mess with the warranty. Both were cheap enough, but dropped to a very similar price for the brand new version a couple of days later. I am going to have to send both back.

I ordered a camera lens off them. It seemed good value except that when it arrived, the adaptor ring was missing. It would have been much simpler for everybody to send me an adaptor ring than for me to return the entire package. However, the original seller, who is based in the States didnt want to know when i contacted them. I contacted Amazon who said they couldn't contact the seller and offered me a further 20% off if i kept the item and sourced the adaptor myself. I'm not having much success with that so will likely be sending back the entire package.
All in all, its just too much hassle. The items for sale are returns and Amazon dont appear to be checking them properly before putting them up for sale again.

I bought about 6 items from warehouse in the recent sale. Most were fine. One (one which was opened yesterday!) was defective. Just got a partial refund today (as some of the item is fine so I couldn't return it). The refund was a bit disappointing so I agree with other posters, I think it's too much hassle tbh and I don't think Amazon are checking items properly. For books it is fine but for other items I will avoid in the future.

I had the same issue. Item was broken and it was a defect with the product and the reason it was returned. I bet, due the a awkwardness to test this problem lots of set up etc, they did a visual check and said it's grand.

They offered a partial refund and keep it or a full refund if i return it.
