Same here. Went for Germany myself. Apparently no Official EU ROM for Kate model. Only International ROM.

Outstanding phone though.

My Redmi Note 3 arrived yesterday sneaked passed customs too I went for Ghana the only GMT country I could find. The phone is very fast and battery life is already impressive.

Camera is pretty bad other than that phone is superfast... Is there an app that improves camera quality???

It was running 7 out of the box with android 5.1 . I left it switched on and on WIFI but it didn't update to 8.

Yours updated with no prompts ?

Edit. Also when to check updates in the settings, but said none available.

I rooted mine. It wasn't too hard to do really if you have experience with doing it on other devices.

You need to flash TWRP onto the phone through the Fastboot mode. Get the latest version of SuperSU and install that zip using TWRP and you're done. My version of TWRP doesn't seem to work with OTA updates so I just download the full update when it comes out, install using TWRP and then delete the zip file afterwards. There is a version out there that supports OTA though if you look.

Got the international edition and cannot get my win10 pc to recognise it. Device manager showing unk device an tried updating driver but gave error. Installed MI pc Suite and phone is MIUI 8 also with no joy.
