Tv Licence Letter.

    Hi. Received a letter this morning in post from Tv Licence crowd. Pretty much saying an inspector visted recently and we werent there. Then says "further action will be taken unless a Licence is purchased immediately".Should I be worried? Really cant afford it atm. And dont have abank account to do it by direct debit.

    Isn't it assumed that every premises has a tv and they issue fines/court summonses from there?

    "Further Action"?? Sounds good. Can't beat a bit of action, tell them you want the action and order them to present the action immediately. Meanwhile smash the TV set to bits and throw the residue in the bin. You'll get more entertainment out of doing that than half the $hite whats on the television

    Its cos he don't have a tv licence that the inspector guy was paying a visit in the first place. They have a psychic department and they are paid fortunes.

    Step 2: Repeat step 1 with all other letters and don't answer the door unless you're expecting someone.

    If it's addressed to "occupant" burn it. If it has your name on it, you will eventually have to pay, or get rid of the TV.

    Until you answer the door to the inspector don't worry about it. They are talking about changing the law, again, but nothing has been done yet.

    Honestly though if someone can't afford 160 euro for a TV license what hope have they of paying a 1,000 euro fine.
