Is anyone else still waiting on money for the last 3 months of 2015 glas 1 scheme.
No. I got mine but only a month or so ago.

Regarding payment for glas l for 2016, should the nutrient management plan be up on ag food if it's done??

Young farmers' scheme being paid this month before Glas I heard.

I think it is a Glas requirement to have an active herd no but cannot find this in final rules/spec book??? I haven't had cattle for 20 years or so and checked with Glas help line last year who said my old no. was still active. I have used it in all applications, written and online. BUT while logged onto agfood this week I accidemtally discovered that my herd no. is NOT active. 😬 Could be a good excuse not to pay me? Any ideas?

Getting nutrients plan done this week. Will find out for you.

Re payments: not a word from IFA. Cut the hay a day early and face a cut but payments can be months late and not a word.

Anyone hear when GLAS1 payments due to commence?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,173 ✭✭✭✭Muckit

Nothing here yet. I think there was something muted about payments starting before Christmas. NMP needs to be in first. I'd say somehow it more than likely will be the new year at the earliest.

Rang my planner on Friday he said that they weren't able to upload the NMP plans yet as there are issues with the Dept website.
He's no techie so I'm wondering if its done at all.

According to todays journal 85% should be paid this month but promised payment dates are missed all the time now so dont know if we should bank on getting it either.

It goes to show where priorities lie when, if you read the agri media, everyone has their knickers in a twist over tag suppliers and hedgecutting dates, but nobody has much concern around GLAS and BDGP payment dates

Anyone here in Glas or know anyone who does not have a herd?

85% payment starting Monday but why not 100% as it's already late and losses and expenses already affected. Have the IFA made any noise?

Yes my planner rang me the other day about soil samples that cost €200 he will be looking for another few quid to do up a nutrient plan. Then the bird cover has to be re established in the spring and a new hedge planted. It is a very tight scheme not much change left over when everything done and everyone paid.

And if you are on the dole you are guaranteed your Xmas bonus this week.. what a sham..

The payments calendar needs to be reviewed with hard and fast dates.. loan repayments and direct debits are on X date regardless and financial planning is a nightmare because you have no idea when payments will land..

In fairness I think your comments summed it up best and hit the nail on the head.

Is it not under EU law that all payments for 2016 don't fall due until 31.12.16, don't shoot the messenger as I'm a farmer myself and love to get my ANC the 3rd week in September are we too used of getting these advance payments of 70% and final 30% before year is out at all?!

Is there an option to get someone other than Teagasc to make out the plan?

We used a non teagasc independent advisor. The department has a list of advisors and contact details.

    Use small independent advisors here.

Yea you can go to anyone else you want and still leave your main work with Teagasc. And Teagasc are actually 465 for NMP as far as I know
