I have seen tweets with that hashtag celebrating and hoping the israeli babies die among many other horrible sentiments. They absolutely are racist attacks in those tweets. I am happy that there are tweets of support and solidarity too.

The solidarity shown by some palestinians is admirable, and I am really gladdened to see it.

And if the fires were in Palestinian territory you'd see horrible tweets too. The nature of the situation there is that it brings out the worst in humanity.

You're all very quick to jump to the conclusion that if the fires are acts of terror then the perps must be Muslims.

Israeli settlers regularly attack and burn Arab olive groves.

There could be other causes too, like negligence from farmers, campers etc. These are a regular occurrence in the Middle East (I've spent a lot of time in Israel & Lebanon).

Stupid suggestions like Israel using this as an excuse to steal more Palestinian lands, do people who utter that stupidity actually believe that?.

Anyway it could very well be terror, from settlers burning Arab olive groves too.

I will let my friends know, they will be relived to hear why they were almost walled in by fires on either side of them.

Well we know that the palestinians aren't dropping huge amounts of white phosphorous in the woods. Cos that would be outrageous wouldn't it?

It's a bit of karma for how they they treat the Palestinians. I have zero sympathy and wish then the worst if I'm being honest.

Wishing harm on every Israeli is pretty disgusting tbh. Do you think that the 13 year old who was stabbed to death in her bedroom a few months back deserved it too?

Most people agree that a two state solution is the best and most realistic solution. Most Israelis want it too. For decades surveys have shown that they want this. The problem with Israeli democracy is that there have been so many governments formed with right wing parties as minor partners. They've driven a hard line.

So although it's easy to paint the cause of Palestinian woes as the entirety of Israel, it's really just a small minority.

The same goes with the Palestinian side. For years there were political deals made with Israelis and Israeli right wingers ignored it. This meant that the parties that made those deals on the Palestinian side have all been marginalised. (Well, that and corruption) so parties like Hamas fill the void.

Most people on both sides just want a peaceful solution that enables them and their children to live in peace.

I love the smell of burning Israel in the morning…

has anyone done that one yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

One of the imams who spewing the Israel burn stuff on Twitter has SIXTEEN MILLION followers. That's an army, a small country.
It seems odd we get an investigatory powers bill to see if people watched something naughty online..but a villain, in plain sight, can drum up support for mass murder and that's fine. Freedom of speech.

You're entitled to your opinion however despicable, but do you realise the Arab citizens of Israel would burn with them?

It does though. Look at the most rabid supporters of both sides. They are just nasty. There's many Israelis and even right wing Christians who think that genocide against the Palestinians is ok. The venom they spit out on social media is horrific.

The same goes for the pro Palestinian side. There's so many idiots with PLO scarves who cheer on **** like these wild fires.

The majority of normal people feel sympathy for people of both sides. Israelis who are stuck between all these enemies and Palestinians who grow up without a state.

If tomorrow morning the whole of Israel, the whole of the Middle East, and every Arab, Jew, Muslim, and Christian burnt to the ground, I wouldn't shed a tear. Okay maybe a couple because I have family in Beer-Sheva.

Only two things come out of the Middle East. Oil and human misery. And the human misery flows out of it, like from an open sewer. And Israel most definitely has a stake in that. The world we live in today, is shaped in part by Israel treatment of the Palestinians. I'm not talking about Jews now, but the state of Israel. And those are not mutually exclusive.

I'm not surprised that there are those that would deride Israel. Since they have done themselves no favours. Quit frankly, I'm sick to my back teeth of the Middle East, and there quest to bring there misery to the whole world. Even to those that would accept them with open arms, and wishes only to help them.

So yeah. They can all burn in hell as far as I'm concerned.

Yet you can still say the kinds of thing you say. It's very telling.

If you can say that thousands of people should burn to death -nevermind saying that nothing good has come from the Middle East- you should be able to cope with being called ignorant.

Do you know what else they cheer on, Grayson?

I don't think the Palestinian 'custom' of forcing of children to be suicide bombers features in your alternative history of the Israel-Palestine conflict.
I've met a few people who sing from your hymnsheet.
I've read threads like this on Boards.ie in the past.

It would make a cat laugh.

And there's no-one poisonous on the Israeli side at all.

And don't tell me what I think. Where do you get off thinking that I'm not capable of researching information and digesting it like a rational person?

I've never condoned suicide bombers. I've never condoned killing. I have no idea why you'd think I would. Have I ever said that I did or said anything at all to suggest that I would? I know I have thousands of posts here but I can guarantee you that I haven't.

Along with the Syrians being treated in Ziv medical centre, the possible cures for Parkinsons Disease, Diabetes, Alzheimers Disease and god knows what else, and quite a lot of useful technology.

No, nobody could ever accuse you of ignorance.

I would have been on the opposite side of this argument when I finished school ten years ago.

These days I support the Israelis, can you imagine being surrounded by people who want you wiped off the face of the planet.

As a westerner I love what our Judeo Christian roots has given to us all, We live in the western world. We created western civ together, and everybody wants to live here.

So we're you quite happy with the Holocaust and I take it you will be with any future one.
    Nice.
You will be beside yourself with glee if Israel ever lays down their arms and are massacred to the last baby as the Islamics have sworn?.
    More nice.
These sworn enemies of Israel will then turn on the rest of Europe and then maybe kill you.
It's what they are taught to do.
    Kill Kaffirs like you.
