"Before the whole thing was a parrot."

AHAR fights back, wonder will Joe read this

    https://www.facebook.com/ahar.ie/posts/1330396420313381
Last Tuesday we kindly took in two female boxers into our care to re home. That had been on another rescue site looking for help already. After a long journey they arrive to AHAR.
On my return to the centre I met them.
Instantly I could tell, as you can from the photos they had more then one litter. There was very apparent mammary tumours that needed to be removed. That and spay them. Vaccinate and a kennel cough.
Then we could start to look for homes.
If you have not seen their posts please take a look. They are on our page.
Not at any stage did I say who owned them or where they came from.
I did not say anything of what Im being accused of. I stated the obvious which is clear for all to see.
My only concern was to take these dogs and complete the vet work they had not received. AHAR and you our supporters made a choice to do this. As we always do.
Our statement to their last owner was this.
The 2 boxer females you surrendered to AHAR are now the property of AhAR. In line with our rescue policies, they were assessed for medical treatment and put in the care of our vets who recommended large mammary lump removals on both dogs. They have clearly been used for breeding purposes and their medical needs have not been met by the previous owner. Funds were raised publically to complete the veterinary work needed. We have a responsibility to the donors and the dogs to complete the medical work. We are not in a position to release the dogs to new homes until their medical care is complete. This will be in a minimum of 10 days. All dogs are re homed in line with existing ahar policies.
AHAR is a voluntary run charity that I set up over twenty years ago. I have given my life 24/7 to save, care and re home as many as I can.
You my followers have seen this on a daily basis. I am disheartened that people saw fit to, not only attack me for helping these dogs when nobody else would but to also lie about me and try and tarnish my name and the rescue centre.
At the end of all this. We will do right by these dogs. They have had the veterinary operations they needed and are now recovering and we will find them 5 star homes.
Thank you for all your positive support.
