What are millennials? and Generation Snowflake???

My grandfather called my father's generation a bunch of pussies. Those were the days

They're phrases used by idiots to dismiss anyone who disagrees with them.

Half the time it doesn't even make much sense in context, see last example.

    The polls were solid(ish) :)

The problem with polls is that the take a small snapshot of what's happening at this point in time. What's most important is the trend. In the last week, post Comey revelations, there was a significant swing to Trump. Before Comey I felt fine saying Clinton would win but as it got closer and there was an obvious trend towards Trump I felt less certain. I knew a few of the swing states would swing to Trump but I had no idea how many.

I will say the big shock for me was Wisconsin. That's the one state I didn't think would swing. Clinton had a huge margin.

Is it true Clinton didn't visit Wisconsin as she was convinced it was a banker. Trump on the other hand canvassed it 5 times.

Exactly. Its ridiculous, I don't know how often very niche college degrees such as film studies or landscape architecture make somebody more 'educated' overall than another person. More educated in that very specific field yes..

Everything up till now including his website says repeal. He's not banning Muslims from entering the US either. Or jailing Hillary Clinton.

    Flip flopping already.

Yeah, he seems to be backtracking on a lot of what he promised during the campaign allready. Reality is beginning to kick in.

The question is how will the right wing lunatic fringe that voted for him react when they feel that they have been betrayed by him just to buy their votes during the election.

Not sure about whether he will be taken out before that, but he will most definitely be a target from many fruit-cakes and disgruntled folk. He will really need top priority security-wise I think.

He said he would listen to Obama's proposals. Nothing more.

He scaled back the Muslim ban months ago. Not sure you've been paying much attention.

Why it was a possibility. They aren't suggesting it. Merely stating as a possibility. Given the rise of the tea party to Obama I am sure there were plenty of plans in case someone tried something as there will be for Trump.

In fairness to the people organising the protests this is nice. The vast majority are peaceful and don't want to damage the city. https://www.gofundme.com/portlands-resistance-rebuild-fund

The twisting of Trump's words about Obamacare are part of the media's new strategy to try and turn anything they can, even a conciliatory gesture towards the other side, into a flip flop so they can create a narrative that he has betrayed his supporters.

You have to admire their persistence in the face of the reality that no one trusts them anymore.

Is it fiscally feasible to plan on cutting corporation tax drastically but increasing defence spending and retaining Obamacare though?

    I'm delighted Trump won.

Clinton's track record is a disgrace. Destroyed Libya which has led to the migrant crisis in Europe, not to mention the deaths of countless civilians. Had she won America would be at war with Syria, Russia, and China within four years.

I'm glad she lost. Also just look at the liberals in America rioting, and causing chaos, because they lost. Makes me even more happy Trump won. In this life you aren't going to get everything your own way, Liberals have a hard time accepting those facts, hence they are throwing their toys out of the pram. Just look at Tubridy, Collette Browne, on the late late show tonight.

That's the problem with Democrats, anytime they're in power they're always starting illegal wars overseas. Tubrity & Browne are just pro-war useful idiots.

The only difference between Obama, and Bush was the colour of their skin, and Obama was able to read the script better than Bush.

Are they not allowed protest now???

I don't know what they want to achieve. Maybe a he doesn't represent us statement or even a we don't agree with the bigoted views he has statement I don't know. I do support their right to protest even if I wouldn't join them. I mean we tend to have oppositions for a reason.

They seem to not want the elected representative in power. Very fascist.

His official transition website clearly says repeal.
    No twisting of words.

    Maybe the website is incorrect?

Clinton gets blamed for Lybia, but I never saw anybody blame Colin Powell or Condoleezza Rice for anything that happened when they were secretary of state under George W Bush. Never even John Kerry who has been in the job now for 4 years - strange considering Clinton only had one year in office after Gaddafi died and Kerry has had 4 years.

ANd it's ridiculous to say there'd have been all that war under Clinton while igniring Trump asking why the US never uses its nukes! ANd tonnes of other stuff

As I said it is his own voters who will turn against him after the first 100 days of backtracking and sitting back and allowing diligent politicians and experts run the country.

As a businessman, you do what you do to get to the top and then enjoy it.
