Can't rule out impeachment..... at some point. He's got a lot of potential problems.

Look at this. Wouldn't it just make you sick.

That's tyrant, dictator, criminal and warmonger Vladimir Putin talking about restoring relations with the US while his country still illegally occupies Ukrainian soil.

I'm not optimistic about Trump but I hope he's half the strong man he claims to be and makes those words turn to ash in Putin's mouth.

Didn't people in the east of Ukraine democratically voted to return into Russian territory ? Isn't that take over popular in that part of the country, by the locals?

I know this was posted hours ago but you need to get a grip of yourself. ''Of course we live in rape culture''. Who's we? Unless you live in some backwards caste system in India, no we don't. You sound like either a parody at this stage with your Let's Uprise mantra and your hashtags or more likely, a delusional college student. Either way, you're embarrassing yourself.

Think Midlandmissus is smoking a bit too much of the auld Louise O'Neill guff

There clearly not. Still just because there not in, doesn't mean they don't matter.

Okay, now go back to the quote I replied to about Russia deciding to eat the EU and see if your comment adds anything to the argument or if you were just trying to be a smart ass.

When you look at how American elections go, it makes you very grateful for the proportional representation system in Ireland. Really in the US, if you don't like in Florida or a handful of other states, your vote means nothing and again you see that the majority of people can vote for one candidate, yet they'll still lose.

Yeah. If you're in Kentucky there's no point voting for a democrat and the same if you're a republican in California. There's millions and millions of votes that just don't count.

Yeah I'm sure an organisation with less than 5,000 members swang the election.

I made no such claim. Fact remains that some of his supporters are literal KKK, and imho its fair game to state that fact.

If you want an end to being pc, and if people want to play fast and loose with the facts, then its a 2 way street.

    Rigged polling.

The only reason Khamenei agreed to the deal in the first place is because he feared the sanctions would bring down the entire theocracy they had built. In the long-run, tearing up that nuclear agreement might be the more stable thing to do in the region.

It stops the Saudis/Qataris/Emirates/Egyptians/Turks from saying "Iran got to enrich uranium, we want the same deal".

So tear up a deal, that is working for a what if? That is imho a bad idea.

It isn't working though. The IRGC are already consolidating power and Rouhani is under intense pressure domestically for signing that deal.

Its AH, its kind of the whole point of the forum to be a smart ass.

Still, Putin grabbing the Ukraine is not a good thing, and them not being in the EU is imho neither here nor there.

I find it strange that you're calling it "the Crimea" and "the Ukraine"... What side are you on exactly? :(

Are they building a nuclear arsenal? As long as that isn't happening, then its a success, as that was the purpose of the deal.

Turns out it was the rigged system that put Trump into power :P.

Turns out his claim of a rigged system was just another of his very numerous lies.

Wrap it up Hildog, day in the sun is over. You might applaud her for a good speech but it only takes 1 second to remember what the Clintons did to Haiti

To be fair there's only two qualifications an Irish President needs. To be smart and nice.

Probably not, it would look terrible.

I think she'll get nailed for the foundation corruption eventually by the FBI.

apparently last night there were supporters screaming "lock her up".

It's going to be a crazy 2017. Will there be a wall? Will there be mass deportations? Will people be banned from entering the US based on their religion? Will Trump rip up existing trade agreements? Will he repeal Obama care and leave millions without health care?

They wouldn't be building a nuclear arsenal now anyway though, it'd take them years to reach the level of enrichment needed... And the deal only freezes the enrichment they're allowed for 10 years, it doesn't actually mean they have to dial back what they currently were doing.

Chances are, Iran would've seen a middle class revolt against the Theocracy before they reached enrichment capacity.

Right now, Rouhani is in a very unstable position.

I'm being facetious, but it is an actual dispute (like "British Isles" in Ireland). Ukrainians call it Ukraine, pan-Slavs/Russian nationalists call it "The Ukraine".

Trump already denies climate change as a plot by the Chinese. How he thinks China is modifying the data coming in from across the world is beyond me but then again he probably hasn't put that much thought into it.

Also the power of the Electoral College depends on where you live. If you're in Wyoming there is a Electoral vote for each 143k people. In New York it's one for every 520k people. So a vote in Wyoming is "worth" nearly four times a New York vote when translated into the Electoral College.
