    Taking a four point hit,

    Out: Amat, Fer
    In: Pieters, Bolasie

Home to City then away to Leicester (who have the best home form in the league)..bit of a strange choice of transfer.

Ideally I'd have got him (Chadli) in 2 weeks time after those fixtures, but I've 5-6 transfers mapped out for the next month and this was the most appropriate move of those I've earmarked. Plus, City aren't exactly a frightening prospect for opposition attackers, and Leicester are clearly prioritising Champions League.

There is also a bit of trusting my own gut instinct, which has served me well in the past, but which I ignored with my wildcard, when I brought in Antonio and kept Capoue despite not being overly happy with having either in my team.

I wonder is that is for Amat - out of the team for good?

Have him and Kingsley, was v surprised to see Kingsley coming back in for Taylor, anyway hopefully at least one will be in the team going forward.

Did you make the transfers? Transferred out Antonio and Benteke to Couthino and Austin last night.
Wanted to take advantage of the price changes, Couthino went up in price last night and Antonio will most likely drop in the next night or two.
Bit of a risk considering there's league cup games this week, and there's every chance Benteke could score against Liverpool and make me regret the transfers, but it's done now ; )

Hoping Couthino's combination of form and fixtures, along with Austin who looks well capable of matching Benteke' returns, should make it pay off over the next few weeks

No I didn't do it in the end. Saw Coutinho was rising alright but felt like I was rushing into it. Hadn't really considered him until yesterday tbh. Hope it works out for you though :)

Would Arnie over Shaqiri be the more prudent move?

Or is it trying to be too smart by half. Or do we need to actually look at Allen?

I'd have said Shaqiri would be much deeper than Arnie and more reliant on knocking in free kicks but that's only my educated guess.

Antonio is leaving my team though, that I'm certain of!

    ye

    BIG shout
I mean I have kept Ibra but there is NO WAY I'd be buying him in
If he blanks this week he will be gone immediately end of story

Ill be waiting till Fri to make the decision. Ibra has still been getting chances and he is going to get a lot of chances against burnley. Lukaku has been very consistent however everton arent scoring many goals and Id expect over the next two gws Utd ( burnley H swa A ) to comfortably outscore Everton ( west ham H chelsea A). Ill be selling ibra after two gws as I think he is overpriced but if I get him in he is my captain this gw. Id have no problem buying lukaku back at 9.8 in 2 gws if need be. I reckon lukaku will start to see sales in a few gws anyway and I never try to play the game on fear of what a high ownership player could do.

Arnie should have scored twice against Hull, Shaqiri was his provider. I think Arnie has a better chance of scoring but Shaqiri will be their key playmaker. I have Arnie but I don't think one is better than the other.

I think Alllen will turn out to be similar to Capoue, I'd go with Shakira or Arnie.

I'd be leaning towards Arnie too. Just from MOTD he seemed to be getting in good positions and failing to convert. Will be checking up the stats before deciding between them, although my bank balance may decide it for me.

I kept Ibra solely to captain him this week BUT now the city game midweek has taken on greater importance in worried about next weekend
In fact I'm worried he may even be dropped but that's probably not gonna happen

Ye Ill have to see what happens wednesday with regard to the team/ outcome/ availability of rooney etc. I can also move for mata if need be.

I'm just trying to figure out if I'm being the Mr.P I'm trying not to be this year with Arnautovic or not.

Shaqiri could have scored all his goals for a while. Although the one chance I recall Arnie having was set up by Shaq, who was on the halfway line.

Cheaper. "In form". Price rises. Ownership. It should be the Swiss but I think Arnie is a better pick.

The 0.9 saved could do a lot for my defence/Benteke replacement though.

*Johnny Walters enters from stage left* :pac:

Would you still touch Mata after him being benched on Sunday?

Also only 2 attacking returns all season and only played 60+ in 5/9.

I know he'll probably start the next two 'easier' games but he seems a bit if a punt still. High chance of being subbed early too.

I'd rather Arnie too. Been very unlucky not to score lately and I could see a double digit soon. Negatives are 4 yellows and that Bony may be on pens

That's my feeling on him. 4 yellows kinda rules him out though, didn't realise that.

    4 yellows eh?

That's too rich for my conservative blood.

    Here's hoping Shaw's hips don't lie then!

    Right.

Missed out on my mastercheapGKplan last GW by not cashing in my £0.1m on Jaku for Grant. Am I right in not doing it now considering 1) Butland's due back in 3 GWs time, 2) I could get either Pieters or Cameron for Lovren (or McAuley) instead to get Stoke def cover.

Ideas are Grant is making very few saves bar Stoke game at Old Trafford and their coming fixtures suggest he should not make a ton of them. So it's CS or nothing. On the other hand, Foster could/should make some vs City. And Pieters or Cameron, bar injuries, should be nailed for the whole Stoke good run and are more liable to get BPs.

Right? Or should I stop over-planning & thinking and just play short-term?

I didn't realise this when I brought him in, I doubt I'd have gone with Shaqiri as an alternative though. I'd have probably ended up with fecking Bony up front :pac:

Pieters/Cameron is a much better call than Grant. Too late for him now. WBAs fixtures improve soon too so you may have good opportunity for Pulis double up if you're ok benching McAuley for next two GWs

I'll be rocking out with my Watford c*** out this week....Holebas, Capoue and Deeney in my squad and all start. With Walcott and Sanchez to play v Sunderland and my remaining defence (Valdes v BOU, Cameron v SWA, Walker v LEI) all having good chances of clean sheets, I will be rolling this transfer, unless a further injury mid week.

I have Baines, Puncheon, Capoue, Deeney, Amat, maybe Aguero to start moving out the following week.

It would be a 1 WK punt if I got mata and 2 weeks if IBRA. I'd expect utd to score 3 or 4 on sat.

Go on, post them up so we can laugh afterwards. Every so often I'll find a plan a month or so later and think "what was I thinking"

I agree there's an Arnie haul coming.

I went with Shaqiri last night because Antonio was dropping.

That's pretty much confirmed an Arniegeddon on Monday night!
