waiting for a windy day to spread the dung. think its a bit windy Sunday so will do it then. Hate having to wash dung off the tractor afterwards and normally never have to if theres any bit of a breeze to blow it out a bit further.

Don't wait for the rain. There's lovely calm weather at the moment for dungspreading. You can spread in any direction and not worry about it blowing it on the cab.
At a small bit of dungspreading myself atm.
Ground dry, no wind, perfect for me.

Spreading here as well, started around 4 until 6.30 and should get finished tomorrow. Little damage so far thankfully.

And no sh!te to wash off my own tractor:)

Not too late to fill the back of it with dodgy dell boy electric kettles and snap a photo before the month is up:P

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Dry week coming for most of the country.

You really have to question the 'science' behind the slurry ban when growth and ground conditions were poorer two weeks ago:rolleyes:

This dry spell is welcome and all that but it's too little too late after the washout of a "summer" we've had.

Agree. Great to get the last 3 weeks weather. But God how I could have done with it in July.

Grass is responding well after the slurry spread last week. Hopefully with a bit more sunshine and temps staying middling the cattle will get a nip before moving to more cover beside the yard for Winter.

Dry but days are cold since Fri, the overalls are back on again. Baby calves flying it outside tho. Must reteat another milk bar the young ones are eating me alive feeding one by one. Threw a couple of big bales at an angle to each other for extra shelter if they need it
