Anyway my cable stopped working, I complained last week and received a new one this morning, excellent service.

Where did you complain to. Mine has become unreliable.

I just went through there support chat on the website, had to take photo's etc to prove I didn't lose it and needed my original PO.

My coverage has been chronic since the update. Anyone else like that or is it coincidental?

    No difference here.

Would anyone else whos successfully gotten a replacement USB-C charging cable for their OP2 mind sharing a better description? I've attached a picture of mine, but I've been fobbed off by OnePlus support, saying it's "normal wear and tear"

What the hell did you do to that? :D

If anything that's not caused by "normal" wear and tear, it looks like a dog bit it or someone stepped on it.

I emailed One Plus last night about a faulty cable and they emailed me back this morning saying they will arrange to ship a new one free of charge.

Yes actually. Didn't even occur to me that it was the update but timing is about right.

I didn't do nuthin', Guv. Other than plugging it in and out of the charger, it's been kept tidly away in a bag. The same has happened on the other side of the plug too, the contacts are exposed there as well

ID - I put it down to their coverage being crap as I switched to them recently also (which may well be the case..not sure)

My missus's microphone is gone to ****e lately. Not sure if its since the update or not. Trying to pinpoint it at the moment. It was crap the other day so I had her ring me on hangouts and it was the same. Then she rang yesterday and it was fine, so it can be hit or miss.
    Anyone else seeing similar issues?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,944 ✭✭✭The_B_Man

So in addition to the microphone going to ****e, now the power button is gone to ****e!
It still works but its lost its springyness and u have to press it down hard for it to turn the screen on/off.

I'm not happy, considering I was the one who talked her into getting a OnePlus 2 on a promise that its a great phone!

Has anyone else had the same problem with the power button?

I dropped mine and bent the power button where it landed.

You can turn the screen on with the home button or double tapping the screen.

The button still works, its just its lost its spring.
I saw a YouTube video of some bloke replacing his side buttons, so it must be semi-regular occurence for a video like that to be online.

    Quick question lads.

My sister is looking at this phone, does the dual SIM work over here?

I Have a op3 and its fine but unknown about the OP2? for that matter, what about the OPX?

OnePlus 2 works fine with the dual sim. You can make calls with whichever sim you want receive texts to each one it works probably the same as OP3.

Must contact oneplus tomorrow, my charging cable too has started acting up, it sometimes stops working. I'm hoping it's just the cable and not the connection in the phone. I only have the phone 9 months.

    Hi,

Did a OTA update on my Oneplus 2 a couple of weeks ago.

When it boots up and brings me in to the Setup wizard. I select Languge then Keyboard,

But then wifi is on the next screen, I am unable to select wifi as it doesn't show any and when I try to skip wifi setup it will not let me past. So I can not procide any further

Any ideas how to fix this?

    I update to this:
    http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-2/oneplus_2_oxygenos_3.1.0/

Phone is usless at the minute as I can't set it up.

    Thakns again

    Sorry,

    Was in work.

Here are some screenshot. When I select skip wifi setup in briefly does to next screen ("Wait a sec") and then goes back to wifi setup.

Should I try reinstall something else? Any suggestions would be great. I'm fairly comfortable with adb and fastboot.

I don't have an recovery installed.

also OEM bootloader is locked so I can't flash an img or recovery from fastboot.

Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Would you not select a wifi network just to see if it will let you go further in the setup process.

If you have another phone setup a wifi hotspot on that device and then select that wifi network on your phone.

All I can really say to you is flash TWRP recovery and reflash the ROM as something obviously went wrong the last time you flashed the device.

Look through and follow the instructions in this link.

I have a look at that instruction but the first part says to unlock bootloader with fastboot oem unlock I am unable to do that.

It fails to unlock (remote oem disabled). I thought I would have to have this unlocked to install TWRP??

I don't know what to say so.

One thing I will say though is open a support ticket on the onePlus website and tell them your problem. I think I read on here before that they can remote flash your device for you.

How can they remote flash if I haven't even got a data connection??:confused:
