No way, didn't you listen to Warbo, once all of these players who are either British or have already played for British clubs acclimatise to playing in Britain they'll be flying.

    Patience required Timmy.

Watch many of his interviews, do you ? :pac:

Saw the laughable quotes on twitter. He sounds like he is under severe pressure. Abusing refs one week, begging the fans, and likely the board, for patience the next.

    Who mentioned assault?!?!

Your patter is still the same it's really ****e mate. You tried to make an issue if Warburton and the ref there's not one he accepted his punishmen.

Deflect, deflect, deflect. Who mentioned assault?? You made a nonsense claim, couldn't back it up, then came up with more nonsense instead of backtracking.

Warburton showed himself up abusing the ref, that is old news. He basically begged the board and the fans for patience this week because his signings have been terrible. He is a man under huge pressure. So much for his buying British players so they would hit the ground running spiel from earlier in the year. He's a dead manager walking, much like Ronnie Deila was last season, Ronnie got to the seasons end because he had trophies to his name to back his ability as a coach. I think Warbs will be gone before the end of this one.

Ffs with those skills it's a wonder you are not managing Celtic. It's amazing how you know the future good for you

Its hardly rocket science needed to see what is happening.

I dont understand this staunch defence of all and any criticism. You are not being paid by the club to defend it at every turn

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

It's not criticism though, it's merely attempts at winding up Rangers fans here. Then again you probably know that.

Claims like how he's under massive pressure and won't see the season out are based on absolutely nothing.

A windup? Considering the underachieving nature of the team, the slow start by his signings, and his comments in the media, for example, after getting hockeyed by Celtic and you think everything is fine and there is no criticism to be had??

Ill be surprised if he's your manager next season, barring a serious title challenge to Celtic tbh. And that isnt likely to happen. I think he's already shown too many limitations in his skillset. Rangers board will be on the lookout for someone to match Rodgers if they have any ambitions at all to win titles. They will bide their time but they will go after a higher profile manager when they know for sure that they can get him.

    Did I say that ?

There was justified criticism for some of his team selections and the sub par performances, but that's all it was.

The performances have improved as of late, so ridiculous claims that he's somehow under massive pressure (more so than normal for a Rangers manager) and is going to be sacked are based on nothing.

I think every Celtic fan would rather see him keep his job for as long as possible which tells alot.

The circus continues; Barton suspended for another week.

There's more plots and sub plots coming out of Govan than coming out of Albert Square. Between the ownership, finances, fan mayhem and everything else, it's beyond ridiculous at this stage. Every club have their dramas, but Rangers are on another planet in this regard

An obvious case of The Rangers trying to terminate his contract without having to pay him off by pushing him in the hope that he'll walk away or lose the head. It's just one fiasco after another with that lot.

I'd say its for the SFA charge for betting on matches.

Barton wouldnt take a termination now anyways because he cant play for another club until January.

They treated Ian Black differently, and he was betting against his own team as I recall.

Got done for betting on 160 games over a 7 year period, including against his own team on at least 3 occasions.
Punished with a £7,500 fine (pittance) and a 10 game suspension. (Served 3 and had 7 suspended and never served)

How they get caught I don't know. But you'd have to question their intellect not to have someone place the bets for them. Unless they got grassed up... do they know any grasses?

He's won 1 game since August 20th!! He's comfortably got the second highest wage bill in Scotland and results and performances are in no way reflecting this. Claiming I'm basing my argument on nothing is farcical. 2012 levels of head in the sand.

2012 levels of obsession, more like :)

You're the type that calls phone-ins about unrelated things to talk about Rangers, aren't you ?

'Aye panel, I saw the Presidential debate and thought Clinton won. Anyway, about Rangers...'

We don't have football phone ins in Ireland.

In fairness, the comings and goings at Bray Wanderers or Cobh Ramblers is nowhere near as discussion worthy as a club running up multitudes of millions in debt, folding up, shafting the debtors and launching a mirror image club and pretending nothing happened....
Compare with "aye panel, I seen young weldon out in coppers at the weekend, lashing into the young ones and he had a game on the Sunday. Poor form panel, poor form."

Yeah, I'm sure that will stop you from calling Scottish phone ins :D
It's only a small step for you from spending every day in a Rangers thread to calling a foreign station to talk about Rangers.

    You're a gas ticket,

Claimed any critique of the one with the head garment which may or may not hold magical properties is nothing more than a wind up.

given perfectly reasonable points as to why such critique is discussion worthy in response

Replies with tried and tested lol obsessed line.

Any chance of you addressing the point made about the manager or does that need a separate thread?

The Mods are gonna have to set up a Manager thread. I think the off field one is gonna pick up very soon.

Just lump it all together and call it the "We don't want to talk about it" thread.

How many clubs have/need an off-field thread on here anyway?

Who's in charge at Rangers? Warburton or Traynor??

Warbs doesn't look like he'll be there long. Level 5 will be kept busy with the transition, quids in for Traynor.

How many fans of other clubs have to deal with you and your pals in their thread on a daily basis, spouting utter nonsense ? ;)

As for the journos, they were told not to talk about Barton previously to the press conference as it's an ongoing legal matter with the SFA. If they are that stubborn or just plain dumb to do it then it's only right the club steps in.
There's a reason the written press in Scotland is on it's last legs.

The Scottish Media, as bad as they are, will last much longer than Warburton at Rangers
