Betting on Celtic to get hammered by Barca

Hardly worth the money though, meager returns surely.

Classic Joey Barton. The fool should just retire, surely no club will want to ever touch him again.

Harsh. He's just trying to help in his own way:
    Joey wrote:
It’s a much lower level and I’m trying to help people get to a higher level. They think me helping is me trying to say, ‘You’re not good enough’. It’s difficult.

    Joey must stay.

Course he didn't, it's just a bit of craic.

Barton said: "I needed another challenge, another experience, even though there have been days since then when I've thought: 'Why? Why did I do that?'
"But I've got to believe in Rangers even if it's been much harder than I expected.
"Reflecting on it, would I have made the same decision? Probably not. I've even been honest with people about that."

Ouch... That must be hard for fans to read... Is there any way back for him?

And Lawwell calling him out and saying Celtic didn't approach Barton's people but that they contacted Celtic. I'm not the biggest Lawwell fan in the world by any means but I'd be more inclined to believe his version than Barton's.

Id say both of them are giving their honest take on it, football agents are always looking to manufacture scenarios where they can create a bidding war.

Yeah, I can see that senario actually. I'd say you're right.

Good win tonight. Hope that will instill some confidence into the lads for a tough game at the weekend. Hat-trick for Waghorn, which is great to see.

Niko looked a lot better tonight as well. Looks like we don't need Barton, the play seemed quicker. Good to get Waghorn back and scoring!

Btw, watched it on BT and wished I could mute that bitter Sutton, he seems to have a big gripe with Mark Warburton.

Sutton is a fairly good pundit. Was frank about Deila as Celtic manager which upset some Celtic fans at the time, but he was generally spot on. Why would he have a gripe with Warburton, what exactly did he say that upset you?

He kept going on about the job being too big for him and questioning his training methods in regards to the defence. Warburton has addressed these issues, trying to sign Lescott and getting Senderos. It may not succeed but it hasn't been ignored.

Did he actually say that tonight, that the job is too big for Warburton?

He used to say that about Ronny Deila - he was right.

Just seeing now on Twitter (so take a big portion of salt) that he apparently glassed the woman who his wife was scrapping with.

If it happened I have no doubt it was under severe provocation but surely that's too far even for Rangers?

I don't get why Lee Wallace is getting mentioned too, what's the connection?

As you said, it's twitter. I really doubt that he would glass someone and then nobody would press charges.

The general story seems to be that his girlfriend was goaded about the result and then hit by someone else, they left, an argument broke out in the parking lot and he may or may not have hit someone (even that last part seems to be debatable).

:pac: Hilarious Sutton took him to the cleaners.

Johnstone epitomises the head in the sand culture that has The Rangers where they are and where they have went over recent years.

Sutton destroyed him and the rot that is Scottish journalism.

Johnstone had no answer at all for him bar sounding like a schoolchild.

    Hilarious stuff.

    Who is the Johnstone fella?

    Who is the Johnstone fella?

ex Rangers player who has sat on his arse in the media as a supposed pundit for nearly 20 years who extols the highs and lows of Rangers no matter which charlatan is in charge. He never rocks the Rangers boat in the media. Sutton was spot on

    Well known as BFDJ

While he's right about DJ the fact you love Sutton's idiotic behaviour says it all :D

He's an utter moron who thinks he's taking the fight to the big bad Scottish media, deluded as ****.
There's also a difference between rightfully criticising someone for what they said and being a derogatory little dickhead while doing it.
    Sutton is the latter.

One could even say he's tailor made for some of you ;)
