Live by the sword, sad for the child, but apparently he was with his guardian who was with a group singing The Billy Boys at the Celtic end of the ground. If true, his father takes a lot of the blame.

The fan who threw the bottle is 100% to blame. Might have been total stupidity from the childs folks to put him at risk like that but the Celtic fan decided to throw a bottle at a crowd of people and will rightfully go to jail for it

Going to the Celtic entrance, for the purpose of singing about murdering Catholics. It's sad for the poor child, pity it didn't hit one of the troglodytes that dragged the poor kid there.

Scumbag behaviour doesn't condone a scumbag response. Wether it was the kids scumbag father that got hit or the kid himself as it was, it was wrong and deserves punished to the full extent of the law.

I agree the culprit should be punished, but the father should also be charged with endangering a minor.

According to who ? Celtic fans on twitter seem to be the only ones claiming this.

But hey, at least this time we can all agree it happened, last time we had to read here how it probably didn't happen since no Celtic fan came forward.

If you have evidence that it was a Celtic fan, have you gone forward to Police Scotland??

Have you got any proof the kid's father was supposedly singing The Billy Boys (or with a group that did it) ?

    Funny how that works.

I'm taking the word of people that were there. Perhaps you can enlighten me. What other reason would a group of Rangers fans be congregated at the Celtic end of the ground??

Oh, so like I'm taking the word of people that were on the bus when that other kid got a bottle in the face last year.

And according to other fans they had to walk that way because their bus broke down, plenty of Rangers buses go past that area of the ground.

So the people on the bus knew it was a Celtic fan, but couldn't give a description of this Celtic fan to Police Scotland. Weird that.

On a lighter note, good to see that the VB Thug Fund, to help pay the legal fees of the Rangers fans who were on the pitch causing trouble after the Cup Final, has closed without reaching its target of 10k.

    They did though.

Police then asked for people who saw it happen to come forward, and nobody did.

So the people on the bus gave a description of the man who threw the bottle at the child, but rather than release this info and ask for the publics help, Police Scotland decided to do nothing with the info??

If you believe that you probably believe that Rangers have 500m fans and the partnership with the Dallas Cowboys will be sorted any day now.

It happened in a second, someone threw a bottle and then bolted (since obviously they are too cowardly to await the result of their scum behaviour). What description do you think they got ?

Then again, I wouldn't expect something else from someone who seemingly thinks it's an appropriate response to throw bottles at people, simply because they believe that they were singing songs (which nobody can back up).

2/3 posts up you stated that the people on the bus DID give a description. Now it happened too fast to get a description. Which was it?? What description did they give that marked the assailant out as a Celtic fan??

Eyes far too close to each other and a terrible body odour.

A group of men had surrounded the bus and were hurling abuse at the occupants.
Police said the man who threw the bottle is described as white, 5ft 11 in height, of heavy build and was wearing green clothing and possibly a white beanie hat. He and the men he was with continued along Cathcart Road and into Cathkin Park towards Hampden Park.

    Probably Rangers fans.

    Probably Rangers fans.

So zero evidence that whoever threw it was a Celtic fan.

Probably just a random guy dressed in green and white right before an Old Firm game who thought it a good idea to throw a bottle at a Rangers bus.

****ing Hibs fans at it again.

Good thing it wasn't those pesky Chelsea fans anyway.

Did ye deserve the draw tonight?

He was allegedly "dressed in green" with "possibly a white beanie". I've a blue jumper, if I assault someone while wearing that will I be called a Chelsea fan???

I'm not going to incriminate myself, but it seems that the evidence is overwhelming.

You really are a prime example of the obsessed Celtic fan and it probably doesn't even register how thick you come across :D

Joking about claims that there were Chelsea fans involved in for example Manchester but then when someone (dressed in green and white) on the day of an Old Firm game is involved in attacking a Rangers bus then all of a sudden it's not a Celtic fan :D

You don't even have the common decency to simply say it's a disgrace what happened to the kid and leave it at that, you have to come out with unsubstantiated bull**** about how his father was singing a song.

Because a random passerby decided to attack that bus, right ?

You really are a caricature and probably don't even understand the hilarity of it.

You keep saying he was dressed in green and white. He wasn't. Again your skewing the facts to suit your own agenda. There's no credibility to what you're saying because of this. He was wearing green, and "possibly" a white beanie. Hardly the mighty hoops, is it. Again, NOTHING in the police report states that he was wearing anything connected to Celtic, this link is only in your head.

Any person with more than two brain cells can put 2 and 2 together. Someone dressed in green, attacking a Rangers bus before an Old Firm game.

Or was it a Plymouth Argyle fan perhaps ? I'll repeat: Not a shred of common decency in you to simply condemn it and leave it at that.

Bad result for Rangers last night, Chris Sutton on the button again.

I see your financial results were released tonight.

Strange that they're released at 6pm on a Friday evening!

You're still financially screwed despite the clean slate of a few years ago.

    http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/rangers-international-football-club-annual-results-2/

    Turnover - £22m

    Loss - £3.3m

Loads of loans keeping you afloat over last couple of years. Will you ever learn?

Loan of £2.9m just this week. Must be why O'Halloran was able to play on Wednesday.
