Wow. Dodgers win. What a game. We've been spoiled over the last week, Is October always this good?

Giants/Cubs now, it just keeps rolling!

October baseball is great. I presume it always has but it certainly has the past few years since I've been watching it

Cubs score 4 runs T9 to go ahead by one, Chapman redeems himself. Incredible. Biggest 9th inning comeback in a clinch game ever

Kind of apt that the Giants season ends on a bullpen meltdown.

Unbelievable Jeff!! Slept through the end of the game (was going to watch the last couple of innings) and on one hand I'm glad I didn't endure the stress, on the other missed the fun!!

Chapman was incredible. Eight 100mph+ pitches...just whiffing it by the Giants' batters!

Strange decision by Bochy to take Moore out after 8 innings. Not sure what his pitch count was although with a tiring arm and the top of the Cubs' lineup, I'm sure he thought with a three-run lead, top of the ninth, what could go wrong?

Selfishly I'm somewhat hoping for the Nats, if only that a couple of the games might be on at a decent time. The Cubs are only team not to have a day game in the playoffs so far I think.

I was intrigued to see how Chapman would respond after his failed save on Monday night. Giants hitters never had a chance. Obviously very mentally strong.

The Nats reluctance to part with any of their top end prospects to get him at the trade deadline might come back to bite them.

Chapman shouldnt be the difference, we have a great closer but I think the series will be decided in Innings 6,7,8.

We should have won last night. Disappointed after getting it back to 5-5 that we let it slip, a mistake by Dusty to leave Treinen in probably 2 batters two long with Solis warming up and having been so effective thus far. Still we have Sherzer going tonight and have to think he will give us a slight advantage on the mound.

No baseball today. Bluejays announced that Estrada will go for game 1 in the ALCS. If the Bluejays are gonna take this series they need to strike early. Their SP is better but BP considerably worse I think.

Apparently Toronto are going to resign Edwin and Joey Bats now. Was kinda hoping if Jose did leave we'd go after Joey Votto as we're short of Left handed hitters and he's from Toronto and grew up a Jays fan. Still delighted though, Edwin should have been resigned long ago.

Got a source for that? Twitter is pretty quiet and MLB Trade Rumours has nothing substantial.

Seen earlier that Joey Bats was gonna be offered a new deal on twitter earlier, can't find it now.

    Kershaw to the rescue...!!!

9 straight losses for Dusty Baker in playoff games where his team can clinch.

Roberts pulled the right strings tonight apparently. Set up man in the 3rd, closer in the 7th, ace on no rest to close.

Ratings (and money) talk. Cubs v Dodgers getting the 8pm start on all days when both CS games are on.

Good for the BJ fans here as their games will be starting at 9pm our time on those days.

Not for us in Canada and have to work! Have my ticket for game 4 anyway, I love playoff ball!

    Kershaw to the rescue...!!!

F*** Kershaw, F**k the terrible base coaching and F*** the hope that the Nats consistantly give and then take away.

    And overall F*** baseball ...

    Go Indians! :D:D:D:D

Couldn't stay up to watch that last night, despite really wanting to.
Really expected the Nats to win comfortably.
Woke up around 5:30 when the missus was getting up. Usually go straight back to sleep. Couldn't this morning. Was absolutely delighted when I saw the result. Spent about an hour watching clips and interviews from the game.

    Kershaw you legend
    Turner is a hero

My predictions have been terrible all post season, but I think we'll beat the Cubs in 6 games.

    F**k the terrible base coaching

Awful decision to send Werth. He was out by a mile.

Last night again the game was won on batting with RISP, the Nats went 1-8 or something horrific like that.

Trea Turner should have caught Turner's triple, yes it was at the wall but he had a play on it, slowed up coming to the wall and it cost the Nats the game, either way on last night's performance the Dodgers just about deserved it. But I think they screwed themselves for the series with the Cubs.

Kershaw wont pitch till game three at which point they may be 2-0 down. Using three starters last night was a must but is going to hurt them long term also over extending the closer may have been a mistake. Would like to see Kershaw pitch in a WS but I think it wont be this year. I would love to say I think this one will be close but I have a fear the Cubs do it in 4 or 5.

Yeah, I reckon the Cubs will win handily enough, probably in 5.

Haven't a feckin clue how the ALCS is going to play out.

Realistically, yes, the Cubs should win easily.
I'm going with my heart at the moment.

Maeda will do well in Game 1. Probably Hill in Game 2, and then Kershaw in Game 3.
Wonder is Greinke bothered by this at all. Probably not, but if he had stayed with the Dodgers, and been fit this season, it would have been huge for the Cubs series

Indians in 6 maybe less I think. Cant see the Blue Jays keeping the long ball going and the Indians bullpen is similar to the Royals last season, I feel like they have what they need to shut the Jays down and will grind it out with base hit after base hit.

Game 2 is Sunday and I know he only threw 55 pitches last night but I'd be surprised if Hill pitched in that game on 2 days rest.

Just throw Kershaw out for all 7, his adrenaline will probably see him through...!!!

Don't remind me, terrible terrible stuff. Especially with the Dodgers struggling, changed the momentum of the game and then first pitch Joc levels it up.

Also shouldn't have sent Max back out for the 7th, he had done his job scoreless through 6 turn to the lefty bull pen and we would have been fine. But no. Anyway .. annoyed is the subtle word I would use. On to the Redskins and more hope, sure to be dashed before seasons end.

Really annoyed about that!! The Cubs have had zero day games this postseason and I don't think they had any last year either.

Kershaw having to come out and close last night might be key to the series with the Dodgers. Cubs as expected going with the same rotation as the Giants' series assuming Hendricks' arm is okay. I said the Cubs in four last time out. This time I think the Cubs in six with a series and pennant win at Wrigley!

Kershaw could close every game maybe :)

Seeing the Cubs would probably be the prime time draw in all fairness. Who doesn't want to see if the curse can be broken?

Not as confident as others here, Dodgers were 4-3 against the Cubs in the regular season. But having Lester/Hendricks/Arrieta going twice, you'd like to think there's four wins in there. Just need to keep the bats hot!
