Is delivery time actually 4 weeks or are people getting it quicker?

    Thanks

I ordered my graphite phone on the 19th, it arrived on the 26th (September). However I think that was a few days before it changed to saying 4 weeks.

My phone is slowly on its way! Finished in Poland and now it has been processed in Hannover, Germany. I'm thinking that if it still has to go through Belgium like it has done with others and then since I'm in Ireland - Dublin, it'll probably make a stop in England, it'll definitely be early next week by the time I get it. Estimated delivery was 11th of October.

Mine is in Belgium right now too but tracking last updated 12hrs ago so I assume it's on its way to England now and then to ParcelMotel so with any luck I might have it Saturday!

You're lucky! Mine is currently on hold in Belgium! Has been since 10.48am but not sure whether that's our time or theirs. (Not that it makes much of a difference) Hoping it'll move out tomorrow. Next destination for it will be England and then final destination is Ireland!

Same. Something went wrong with the processing in Germany so it'll take a day of my expected delivery, hopefully they feel generous and deliver on Saturday <3

It's local time, I've kept a close eye on the tracking and it's always been CET which is an hour ahead of our time.

Once it lands in England which mine did a few hours ago it'll be in our own time.

Tracking says processed at Gatwick around half 7 so hopefully it'll get delivered to ParcelMotel tomorrow, they process it speedily and I can collect it Saturday!

My OnePlus 3 arrived this week. So far I'm delighted with it apart from one issue. The lack of menu button. I've figured out how to switch the back button to the right hand side like I was used to with my Samsung Galaxy but I miss the menu button on the other side. Excuse the newbie question but is it something that's not on these phones? Or is it something that isn't on marshmallow?

Android got rid of menu. I can't actually recall what it did at this point since I havent had it in a while.

Either way tap left key now brings up all open apps hold right key brings back to previous used.

I'm not sure menu even has a purpose now

I'll have to get used to it, it would appear. I'm feeling a bit like my left hand has been cut off at the moment.

Phone has been processed at Gatwick and is now on the move. Presumably to Éire!

Was it the original samsung galaxy you were using? Surprised it still had a menu button

tbh i can see the use case for it, its something that i believe leeched in from apple. It now requires people to choose the 'action' or 'menu' from within the app itself mostly from the top of the screen which is a bit ridiculous from a design point considering peoples thumbs are on the bottom of the screen.

Thanks Apple and cheers google for running with it.

Yea menu button have gone off phones a few years now even Samsung's. The menu button is now on screen within the app.

Are the Orzly cases good (this one)? An Otterbox was recommended but if the Orzly one is good I'd get that to save some money.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 564 ✭✭✭Mr Arrior

How do the Orzly or Otterbox cases protect the screen?

Tracking hasn't update since. I'm guessing this is because DHL don't work weekends? Anyone know?

Not absolutely 100% sure but I'd say so as mine is the same. Mine is still saying it has departed the facility in Brussels - Belgium at 01.29am on the 7th of Oct. No movement at all from it since.

Mine left Belgium at 1:49am on the 6th and then onto England the next day. So presumably yours is to go to England next before coming here?

I thought I might have it today but obviously that didn't happen so I expect Tuesday now, if ParcelMotel process is speedily which, from looking at their own thread here, doesn't seem to happen much anymore :/

Mine took a while to update from Belgium too.

Did it take long after that to update?

    I'm so impatient

Arrived in Belgium Thursday 22nd 3am, sorted 10pm. Departed Belgium Friday 1am. Arrived Monday in Dublin at 5am and was delivered that morning. I had been checking the tracking a lot (I am also impatient :p), so I guess at that time it was a long time for no tracking. Probably wasn't looking back at it now! I felt like it was longer at the time! Mine didn't go to England either.

Anyone have any advice as to whether the otterbox or orzly cases would be better?

I guess the estimated delivery was right after all with us! Yours was the 10th and mine the 11th. I'm really hoping it doesn't go to England as that'll probably take another day or two to get here! Whatever way they're transporting our phones across to us, it is beyond slow :P As a friend of mine said "So much for DHL Express!" Now, I'm not expecting next day delivery but not 2-3 weeks! Thankfully, it is nearly arriving. Still waiting for my screen protector and a phone cover I got on eBay for it too. #NeedingMorePatience

Aww no! If it does arrive in Dublin on Monday morning, I'm gonna need to get myself through the day in work as I won't be home to be there for it when it arrives. (Luckily got a family member that will sign for it so I'm safe!) But 9am start to 6pm finish on Monday to Thursday! Really hope mine won't go to England either.

In relation to the cases, I'm unsure of them as they don't cover/protect the screen if the phone does fall but I have heard from reviews that Otterbox is the best.
Drop Protection: Keeps your phone safe from drops, bumps and tumbles
Dual-Layer: Soft inner and hard outer layers absorb and deflect impacts
Slim Design: Sleek profile easily slips into pockets and purses
    Multiple Vent: Easy grip design
