I'd never to go to Croke Park for a gig again after Bruce Springsteen last year. 25 minute queues for plastic bottles of warm p*ss (carlsberg) and sound was awful.

Coldplay are decent live, saw them in Phoenix park in 2009, but 96 euro for a standing ticket in croker is a bit steep.

45 mins queue in Marlay park at Stone Roses for pints of Heineken, or 10 minutes for bottle or Prosecco in two plastic pint glasses... I am never going to anything again

That's fcucking madness if someone pays 1k for a ticket. If people wait a few months, there will be loads on toutless at face value.

Anyone read the twitter feed during Liveline? There's people out there that see conspiracy in everything, there's one person accusing the show of RTE doing the spin for the gardai after Dunboyne.

There's lots of other people who regularly tweet that I worry about.

What feed is that? I have some feed followed but nothing from it yet?

It's shameful that these companies are allowed to tout their own tickets. How in god's name is this allowed. Can somebody put the big light (with the bald head) in to the sky so that we can get Conor Pope on the case.

In fairness, it's not the companies re-selling them per se. Seatwave is a reselling company. Yes, they're getting a large % and fees from same, but they're doing nothing illegal - so to speak.

    Example:
Person A buys tickets from Ticketmaster but uses Seatwave to re-sell them to Person B.

It's the same as if they sold them on done deal........

Caller: Joe why don't they just make it illegal to sell any tickets above face value and also make it illegal to bundle tickets with dirt cheap hotel packeges in rio to rob the peoples?

Bernadette proved Joe wrong with his comment about Croke Park and touting, he quickly moved on to the next caller.

You need the good piped internet so to speak to have any chance, back in the day pre internet filtering systems a lad could get 10 computers in his workplace all working to get him the tickets, usually worked very well.

The touts, they got the money when they sold the tickets to the poooeerrrr fans, then when the refunds came they were issued back to the credit cards they were bought with so the seller gets that too, not the buyer, pure cash cow so to speak.

Is Joe not allowing anyone to dish the name of Ticketmaster as they advertise on RTÉ? Similar to the Lloyds Pharmacy filtering so to speak.

I love the fact that Joe is pouring scorn over this; him the same fella who hasn't paid for a ticket in donkey's years.

I know a few people in RTE, they ALWAYS have tickets for every sporting event, concert, etc. and they never pay for them.

WHOY don't you discuss that Joe?
