    The State could buy a EuroMillions ticket every week for each pensioner, and deduct that ticket cost.
    Somebody, somewhere, will be over the moon. As for the others, well, they had some hope.

    The problem is 99% of people don't understand how pensions work

    Paying in a few bob every week is not going to guarantee you a living return from 65- whatever the current average life expectancy is
