MD Mc was by far the worst offender on the field if people want to point the finger. Should have had a black card before he tried to decapitate COC.

Thomond will heavily disagree I'm sure but AOS is the most overrated player in Ireland for me. A highlights reel player who punishes weaker sides but lacks the variety or subtlety to excel in the biggest games. His greediness today was brutal.

I thought AOS was quite impressive today in parts. He's physically superior to most players around him so he gets to those 50/50s. I think he'd be a good player on any team.

I found him ridiculously wasteful and he was very badly exposed for an important score when Small walked past him without a finger on him.

Well I think you are more likely to be correct about this and so I will reserve my opinion for now, unless thomond2006 tells me to do otherwise.

If the ref was consistent with black cards, MDMA, AOS and Cillian O'Connor would have walked as well as McCarthy. All committed textbook black card offences.

AOS is talented but IMO would be far better at midfield, he's heavily marked in attack and Mayo pull so many players back when they don't have the ball that he's isolated when they break forward. He's also dirtied his bib in the past with diving, so refs probably don't give him the 50:50 calls as much as they should.

I'm not sure if he's dirtied his bib but he has defo marked his card

I know GAA is your sport, but I cannot understand why they don't have extra time and if needed some sort of penalty shoot-out. No other self respecting sport returns at a later date to repeat a final. Bla bla the money argument, but I think it's a bit silly.

Also, I am 16 going on RIP Liesl. Poor heartbroken Rolf.

This last sentence makes no sense to me

Tradition. And both sets of fans get another day out, and Mayo fans get 2 more weeks of forlorn hope... ;)

Something to do with The Sound of Music?

I think the first half of the sentence reflects that 2016 is considered by many to have been a particularly brutal year for celebrity deaths (mixture of confirmation bias and the fact that naturally more celebrities than ever before are in their twilight years), and he was trying to reference that and got autocorrect screwed.

The second half the sentence refers to the actress from the Sound of Music dying.

Or.... and I may be wrong..... it's the song from The Sound of Music, I am 16 Going on 17, sung by the character played.by the actress that died.

I actually thought it said I am 16 Lies! (with the exclamation mark) and it was in reference to some sort of MTV reality TV show. So again I'm going to go ahead and assume you guys are correct on this one.

Seriously considering setting up my own email server. Anyone ever done it before? What was your experience? It will be a lot of work compared to paying one of the big lads but I reckon it's a worthwhile learning exercise
Containers make this kind of thing a piece of cake, tbh. A quick google brought me to this https://github.com/tomav/docker-mailserver

It seems to be well maintained and very popular.

Get a basic server, start the container (with personal options set) and you should be close to good to go.

I'm not having a go Zzippy but I hate this phrase every time there is a draw in GAA

As long as you acknowledge John Hayes' greatness I give you leave to say whatever you want! :D

AOS does have a habit of not 'turning up' in big games. It might help him if he remained in one position, they seem to use him in different roles. Yes it's great when he can catch a high ball in midfield but then the only target up front is Andy Moran. Andy Moran has had a phenomenal renaissance this season and is a fantastic support player but he needs help. He's Mayo's best target man and they need two of him! :D His decision making / greediness is a problem, I can recall one long range shot to nothing that went well wide when Mayo were desperate for scores. For the future I'd watch out for his younger brother Conor who has made some championship appearances off the bench and been brilliant.

Damn it anyway. That was a game that was there for the taking. Two own goals...has that ever happened in a championship game? I hope there will be a positive mindset in the camp in the next two weeks. The defence was epic, Brogan was left anonymous bar OG #2 and he's a lethal finisher.

Mayo conceded 2 goals in quick succession early on in the 2012 final against Donegal. They weren't OGs but they still make it way harder than it needs to be.

Dublin were 2 points up towards the end when one of their players was clearly fouled close to the Mayo 20 metre line, in an easy scoring position had he given a free. He didn't. At the very end, after Mayo equalised, Cluxton took a quick kickout to the corner back, who appeared to pick it off the ground, in an easy scoring position had he given a free. He didn't. The first one would have put Dublin 3 points clear, the second would undoubtedly have won it for Mayo. It may not be intentional, but there is probably an element of sympathy for the players - if he makes a decision it could cost a team an All-Ireland, if he doesn't they may get another chance.

Dublin, at the end, didn't seem that pushed about trying to get the ball back up the field. I know the ref was looking at his watch and was about to blow it up but I couldn't believe they were kicking it sideways. Maybe they're all in on it.

That's their system, build from the back and keep possession. They weren't going to abandon the system and pump long ball forward in a desperate attempt to get a winner - could just as easily concede possession that way and lose it all. I think the players all knew it was over at that stage anyway.

Yes I've been looking forward to Wilderpeople for a long time, big fan of himself

Well I've just had a gander of this film IBF, and I thought it was pretty good. Probably needs subtitles...there's a fair amount of Kiwi slang in it. Reminds of when I lived in Galway, and I send to one of my work colleagues in the midst of winter (the winter where Ireland actually froze)

Me: "Went to bed with a hottie in the weekend"
Colleague (look of horror): "But...but you're married Swiwi"
Me (and your point is...): "Yeah, well it was bloody cold, and there's nothing like snuggling up to a hottie under the blankets to keep warm"
    Cue: awkward silence

Ah I've been playing rugby with kiwis my whole life unfortunately so I'm somewhat capable of understanding them!

My friend saw it a few days ago and he said it was brilliant and we have similar tastes so I'm looking forward to it. I'm travelling until November so may be a while before I get the chance!
