He did. '98, He started in his usual wing back position but moved to FF. He scored 1-5 I think. I remember one of the points he was heading away from goals an shot back over his left shoulder. One of the greatest wing backs to ever hurl. Maybe even the greatest!
I was at that game. Went to a lot of All-Irelands back then. Always managed to get a ticket, usually on the street beforehand. '96 was the only year I couldn't get one.ended up watching it on the tv in The Shelbourne.
Whelan was some hurler alright. That era in Offaly had some of the most skilful hurlers ever in the game.

Don't want to come across as sexist but I much prefer the analysts for the camogie than the hurling or football. Much easier on the eyes

Sure 4-5 Star Terminal is enough for BDGP.

I was hoping to get a 4-5 maternal bull wouldn't it nice for a change to have nice charolias heifers that can be kept. What was quaility like? Had you anything in it?

Hard to know what to say to a post like that I hope they find him.

A lot of pressure on people nowadays whether self inflicted or work or education.

I think the best approach you can take to life is ((try)) to be content and healthy and don't take things too seriously.

Very sad story alright. My better half knows him through work and has nothing but good things to say about him. Can't imagine how hard it must be on his poor family!

Just watching 9/11: 102 Minutes on More4, it is such difficult watching. I wasn't old enough at the time it occurred to fully comprehend what had happened, it was a couple of years before the enormity of it actually registered. Those poor people. Hearing the voices of the firefighters 70+ floors up just before it collapsed is so sad, we're hearing people who gave their lives trying to save others.

It was Heifer & calf show.
Have 1 with potential, but can't seam to get the calves to eat nuts this year.
The Oldest bull class was Apr to Aug 15.
Left after class 10 in Bulls (Dec 15 to Jan 16). I liked Noble Leon who finished 3rd in class.
Could suit you, check out search

I was spreading dung at the time when it happened. Terrible to say but I use this date now as when I should spread the dung.

Myself and father were at the goresbridge horse sales the next day and days.
Everyone was in shock at what had happened but the consensus was that there was going to be war and that's what happened.

I won't say I know home well but we have mutual friends and have been on a stag or two together. As nice a lad to meet and easy to get on with.

Handy shower yesterday and wind was picking up around 7:30, cattle ran down the road and into shed. Didn't think that was a good sign of the weather

    +1

However also spare a thought for the innocent people (including many children) that were massacred in the aftermath, they rarley get a mention in western society

I remember Bush reading to school children with the book upside down with a smirk on his face and later on he was bladdering on about how they wanted bin laden dead or alive like in the old westerns, and the same smirk on his face.

Have a read of the link below. It puts a different face on Bush and the absolute state of confusion the whole US high command was in.

Ah well that all came out, was shown weeks after it happened.
And then the bin laden thing began just before they went into afgan.

And then there was WMD footage of Iraq and rallies in Dublin etc, etc.
    We know the rest.
