Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What worries me is that some players will splash the cash all over the place with 4 premium mids and 3 premium defenders and kick our asses while we are waiting for a return of Aguero :)

3 moves away is a good plan, though, especially that Aguero's price could decrease in 3 weeks time.

Its only 2 GWs. Let them at it!

It'll only take 2 transfers to downgrade Sanchez to a mid price midfielder and upgrade Vardy or whoever you bring in for Aguero. The problem is if Hazard, Sanchez and Zlatan all do well when Aguero is out, it's back to the trying to fit all 4 in and I can't see a way without a pretty weak squad elsewhere

Yeah but thats where we are anyway. Trying to choose at most 3 from the 'big four'.

Now you get to audition Sanchez for 2 weeks and annoy Busts by making his differential no longer a differential. Come GW6 maybe we'll be ready to get rid of Zlatan or Hazard. But you're right. Assuming it's one of Zlatan, Hazard or Sanchez that makes way to get him back it should be no more than 2 transfers.

What about Lamela & Gray? Did they get charged by the FSA too?

I didn't know the FSA were charging people.

I'd like to propose that Winston Reid gets charged for putting a major spanner in the works for my plans.

Tell him to get in the queue, BUIB, Andy Carroll, Lukaku and Sadio Mane are still awaiting punishment, among others :P

Gray already charged. His deadline to respond is today too.

Just read in the paper that Amat and Redmond likely to be charged for some old Bebo posts that were dug up. Apparently they were drawing massive willies on each others whiteboards.

I propose we put Pape Souare to the top of this list.

I'm like a moth to a flame with him, always getting burned by him.

    +1

One of the most satisfying things about popping the wildcard was taking him out.

And then. At one point. I actually considered putting him back is as one of my rotation defs. :o

Gray had till 6pm today so nothing will happen till tomorrow probably.

Lamela looks like getting away with it at this point.

Cheers - I think I can just about workaround that taking a hit to get Aguero & Spacecraft out and Ozil/Sanchez in along with Vardy/Benteke.

Trying to hold on to my WC for another few game weeks if possible

At this rate even if Gray miraculously escaped a ban he couldn't possibly be in the right frame of mind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,543 ✭✭✭✭CSF

These extensions are strange. Gray in particular given how he had ages already and is blatantly guilty. He's hardly going to plead not guilty.

I'd say he's going to argue the grounds for the charge. He wasn't a PL player at the time.

It's an interesting one, because if they suspend him, where do you draw the line? What if they discover that the latest 21 year old wonder kid posted something derogatory online when he was 14? Does he get banned?

If its still on his social media page that he is actively using then yeah he probably does. Don't wanna get into a rights and wrongs of this discussion on here tbh, merely just the timeframes of the decision and the ban, as this will obviously have an impact on price movements for the wildcard.

Little off topic but pretty soon I can see once a player turns pro the club he's with giving him a Twitter Facebook Instagram snapchat account starting him off fresh and telling him delete the old ones.

And in the case of Stephen Ireland, a new brain

Is that all the 4m keeper options potentially gone?

Yep. Decision needed whether to stick with cheap Pullisball one keeper plan or spend a bit for DDG or possibly Cech as Arsenal habe great fixtures and a decent new CB.

Ya, something to consider while on WC. I ended up with only one playing keeper a lot of last season and I don't want to go down that road again!

Doesn't look like the Ruddy deal will go through so Pickford still an option until Mannone does recover

I think we will be waiting a while for Jakupovic to lose his No.1 regardless if they signed David Marshall.

He has started off very well

Will reluctantly have to swap Jaku to Pickford
No word on Kone moving either ?

Kone and Denayer partnership could be decent if he ends up staying.

i think i'll be getting Kone whether he stays or not. Massive goal threat

Djilobodji is likely to start ahead of Denayer.

McNair and O Shea makes 5 CB's that's alot maybe there could be a late transfer deadline day twist in the tale

I'm waiting to see if there's anything concrete on an earlier return date for Mannone. He was projected to be 3 months min which would have been Xmas. I'd fear an earlier return and price drops for Pickford.

Contemplating a premium keeper in which case a non playing #2 would do.

I was looking at this route too, but the obvious premium keeper is probably Cech (I don't want a double up with Man U defenders). He has an unfortunate habit of getting injured though, so am a bit concerned if I do go with an non-playing 2nd keeper.

Courtois might be an option I suppose?

He is worse than Cech for injuries

Looking at Cech too. They should get clean sheets from those fixtures. Not sure I'll be able to spare the extra 1m over Foster though.

I think if you go the 5.5m one-keeper route you just gotta accept that if he gets injured you're gonna need to use a transfer.
