Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's no place for @theowalcott in our squad tonight - he misses out on #PSGvAFC with a mild knee injury

Lads I know this is going to come as a major shock to all of you but wait for it...... Phil Jones is injured, I kid you not.
Only his 28th injury mind, 693 days out in total, the new Darren Anderton,(he would get injured on a Question of Sport, for all you young 'uns out there.)

He is a complete amateur compared to former Arsenal (current Marseille) midfielder Abou Diaby. The latter is injured for something like 6 years running :pac: (I know it's not funny but it's a running gag in France 'cause most of us rated him very high).

Bailly at 75%. I already have Terry out injured, might have to take my chances and hope he plays. My other 3 defenders (Amat, Stones and Friend) don't inspire confidence

Pape Souaré will undergo surgery following a serious car crash. The 26-year-old fractured his thigh and jaw in the accident on Sunday. #CPFC

Increases the chances of a Sterling start anyway, although Sane is probably the biggest competition.

Says Spurs will assess it tomorrow. Be extremely surprised if he's not out for a while though

I reckon Sane/Navas on the wings, Yaya i reckon might play as well, and other fringe players. With Nolito suspended i fancy Sterling to be rested, and likewise KDB to be rested with Silva out. Maybe one or both will be on the bench but i'll be surprised if either start

Kane out for a while could interest me in Janssen. Seems more of a Memphis/RvW than Suarez/Pelle Dutch import so far though

I was thinking who's RvW but i guess it must be Van Wolfswinkle! Forgot about him momentarily, also tut tut bracketing King Luis with BUIB!

I have a lot of dislike for BUIB for ruining my amazing 1st half of the 14/15 season, but I have to begrudgingly respect his streaky points hauls in FPL. Couldn't think of another recent Dutch player to be widely picked off the top of my head

Cost me an entire league when he tore it up in a DGW. Rival had him captained. I'll never forgive him.

    on the latest team news…
Everyone came out of the Hull game well. Giroud is still not available - we will see at the end of the week if he can join in [ahead of the Chelsea match].
    on Gabriel…
He has a chance to play against Forest.
    on Carl Jenkinson…
He is improving, he is not quite back in full training yet.
    on Aaron Ramsey…
He is still out - I don’t think he will be ready for the weekend either.

Was Stones dropped or injured at the weekend ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,599 ✭✭✭✭siblers

He played 40 or so minutes so he was dropped/rested. Only came on because Ottamendi was on the verge of a second yellow.

Aguero on his way up and Negredo possibly going down tonight means I need to make my transfers early.

Very "casual" approach and very risky, but have no choice. This is -8 we are talking about.

    Am I mad?

Give the exact details of the -8

re. PVA - says he was pulled from the team late because of medical advice from heart specialists. Indicates it was done as precaution though and PVA likely to retain his place going forward

Luke Shaw is 50-50 for #MUFC's match with #LCFC after scan showed a slight groin tear. Not as bad as first thought but out of EFL Cup tie

He should be, aye. I think he was left out the other night as a precaution more than anything else.

Jose Holebas is also a concern for Monday night's game at Burnley. He's got an abductor injury.

What a transfer, ah it's ok I was in a 50/50 to start him anyway.

Ronald Koeman expects to have Romelu Lukaku fit for Saturday's trip to Bournemouth.

The Belgian forward was withdrawn in the second half of the 3-1 victory over Middlesbrough and sat out Tuesday's EFL Cup defeat to Norwich City with a foot injury.

But speaking to the media at Finch Farm in Thursday's press conference, Koeman provided an update on the 23-year-old's fitness.

"He did training separate to the group today and we expect him to train normally in the morning," he said. "If that happens, he will be fit for the weekend."

The Hornets boss said: “We have no more bad injuries but there are some players we need to evaluate. Jose Holebas we will know about today or tomorrow if he’s ok. A lot of the players after the Manchester United game need to be evaluated.

“Holebas has a bit of a problem with the abductor and I hope he will be ok. Before the Arsenal game he had a problem but then he was ok. We need to see today and tomorrow.”
