No line at all today :( My husband agrees with you fits, and he saw very faint lines on two of the ones yesterday. Would it be possible to get 2 evap lines?

I doubt it, evaporation lines dont appear that quickly.. sorry to hear they have disappeared :(

Hi everyone thought I would join in with everyone. We have been trying for about 3 months now, 2 years off the pill this month. So im hoping something happens soon enough. Still trying to get my head around the proper time to try. So we have decided to next month were going to try every day and see what happens. Fingers crossed

Hi, I've been told by fertility specialist that every second day is recommended as you need to leave time for sperm stock to replenish. Best of luck!

Evening everyone. Just had a read through the last few pages, congrats to those that have had success!

    :)

As some of you may remember my wife had miss number two a couple of months ago.

Pretty tough as a lot of you will know having been through it. Thankfully the second time round she didn't have to go through a surgical D & C and was able to pass the foetal sac herself though in some ways that was equally as tough because when it happened, what do you so but just flush it down the toilet. It was a very surreal experience and quite upsetting, for herself in particular.

We took a month off trying to give her time to have a regular period again. She wanted to start trying as soon as she did and although I was hesitant I didn't really argue.

AF arrived again in July so we made a concerted effort to get timings right, use pre seed every time we DTD etc.

We had the TWW to see if anything happened but it turned out she didn't get AF in August. She had miscalculated her dates so she was actually a couple of days late. So this day two weeks ago she took a test and it came back as being 2 to 3 weeks pregnant.

We are absolutely overjoyed but of course, the shadow of the two misses is over both of us. She would be about 4 to 5 weeks gone at this stage and is having all the normal symptoms, tiredness, her sense of smell is a gone a bit mad, nausea etc. We are booked in for the first scan on the 7th of September and we have decided to go private.

It's a lot of money but for herself more than anything, the continuity of care and the feeling of being minded is paramount, particularly given what we have gone through over the last 11 months.

So there it is. I'm not posting in the pregnant forum yet, I dunno why but I think its that I don't want to jump the gun and get too far ahead of myself.

I'm petrified, absolutely petrified but trying as best I can to keep a positive outlook for her sake.

All going well our baba will be joining us around my birthday next April.

I'm just hoping and praying we get to meet them.

Congratulations Saul! Fingers crossed for you both. I remember your story. The trauma of a miscarriage and a D & C is bad enough once, I been through both, but for another one to happen is awful. You seem to be a great strength to your wife, which is needed... I have that too with my hubby, but it's also very tough for you guys. No luck for me since my m/c but hopefully that'll change soon! I love reading the happy stories on this! Fingers crossed for everyone!

Has anyone here ever had a scan at 6 weeks from LMP....and only a gestational sac was seen?

I'm trying to figure out how likely it is that everything is okay.

My last period date is definitely correct and was 6 weeks prior to the scan.

A small amount of sub chorionic blood was also seen on the scan which has me worried, although I haven't experienced any actual bleeding.

The sonographer didn't give any indication either way and recommended another scan in 7-10 days.

Fingers crossed it doesn't turn into a chemical but it is saying pregnant on the digital which I didn't get last month. Finding it hard to get excited yet.....

Yup I do. I wouldn't think we are horrible people it's a natural reaction. I don't think it's jealousy as such. Maybe envious ?We had two announcements in work and I couldn't be more happy for the two girls. But yeah part of me can't help be a little envious and wished it was me making an announcement.

Thank god im not the only one. Don't feel so bad now :)
So about an hour ago I realised I was still awating my period (7 days late)so took a test. Last month I was 9 days late so I figured my cycle was playing games. I forgot all about it and found it when I went to the loo- it was positive! I literally went into shock- freezing cold and shaking for about a half hour while my husband drowned me in water so I could test again! Another very strong positive test (Lloyds own brand) and three HCG strip tests with faint lines. I don't know what to think! Shocked.

Massive congrats you must be over the moon :)

I am in complete limbo. I went to the GP on Friday and bled while giving my urine sample. It was like the second day of a period but it was just that once and I have not bled since. I rang the hospital this morning hoping I could go in for a scan (I should be 6+ 1 today) but the midwife said that such a small bleed could be a miscarriage at the 'age' and to test again in two weeks and if it still shows I am pregnant, give them a ring. I have been so impatient all weekend knowing I had to wait til today to speak to the hospital.. the idea of having to wait two weeks is killing me.

Sorry to hear this has happened, fingers crossed it's nothing and will work out. Don't wait two weeks. That'd be absolute torture. Go to your gp and ask them to check your pregnancy hormone levels today and again in 48 hours. That will tell you whether you've miscarried or not. Best of luck.

They can do that? Is that the blood test? That is a great idea, thanks!

It's a blood test. It's basically a way of determining if a woman has miscarried /is miscarrying, or to check if there is retained tissue after miscarrying. This is a table of the expected levels from What To Expect.

    16bec0fd-da1a-404b-bc66-4facbf44b3c5.jpg

I got one on the first day of bleeding (but you can get it done at any point) then repeated 48 hrs later, then 48hrs after that again. If the levels are going up, it means the pregnancy is progressing and there is a good chance that your spotting was just that.

By the way in my experience, the EPU reception are quite reluctant to tell you to come in when you ring, but a midwife told me on the quiet that if you just land into the unit, they cant turn you away until they have checked you out. ;) So, if you continue to bleed, and want to get it checked out, go in.

The very best of luck to you.

Thank you so much. It is lovely to get support here. I feel really alone and confused. My husband is great but it is a very different experience when it is your body. I have a family member and friend who miscarried before and ordinarily I would have gone to them with questions but they are both pregnant right now so it is really not the time to land them with this. I only bled once, but it was a gush as opposed to spotting... that is why I am so unsure. If I was consistently bleeding I think I would be more inclined to think it was a miscarriage. My GP is on lunch so I will ring at 2pm. Thanks women x

Good luck! I bled on and off for nearly a week at 5 weeks pregnant and went on to have a healthy pregnancy.

The gush could be easy to explain. If you were lying down or sitting with your legs close together, any liquid inside would pool, then come out at once.

Once I started to bleed on my MC's, I just bled constant - like a heavy period. There was no spotting or stopping/ starting, unless you count when I was lying down, but as soon as I stood up it would come out anyway.

If you haven't bled since, that's a very hopeful sign. :) But the blood tests will tell you for sure.

Congrats Loveinapril, happy to hear it was nothing to worry about! Wishing you all the best!

Well I am completely in shock but have also just gotten a BFP today! I really am completely shocked! I had tested yesterday at 14dpo and thought I saw a line and spent the day in a daze and today took a FRER this morning and there was a clear 2nd line! I had a mini melt down a few days ago thinking AF was coming and was getting so frustrated and starting to consider blood tests. It was almost exactly a year since I stopped birth control and then with 7 good attempts at trying. Not sure if it was a coincidence or just luck but really cleaned up my diet this month, stayed away from sugar as much as possible, cut back wine to a bare minium and upped the fish intake. Feeling really nervous and excited!

Woke up to spotting this morning, talk about extreme hight to extreme low. It doesn't seem to be getting heavier just the odd spot varying from pink to brown and no cramps. Trying to remain positive, wasn't even over shock of good news and now this. Trying to not google too much as 'they' say spotting/bleeding occurs in 20% of pregnancies. But just like that the joy has turned to fear! Trying to remain calm and see what happens...

Could be implantation bleed, spotting is incredibly common, I would've said more than 20%.
