Laugher and Dingley diving very well. Possibility of two medals for Team GB and Spike Island.

How many rounds in the diving?

Yep. Connections with Salazar and Aden.

Several of Salazars former athletes say he's a doper - look up BBC Panorama from last year. No proof that Salazar ever doped Farah, but he hasn't broken ties with him.

Aden also listed by UK Athletics as a trainer for Farah, Aden was arrested in Barcelona hotel with a room full of drugs. Farah claimed Aden holds his stopwatch. Aden's daughter claims her dad and Farah are close friends.

His story of irishness is falling apart - that is a prison. :D

The grandmother dived over the wall to freedom.

Look there is underage - then rediculous like this lad and as another example Standar in Rugby.

Of course but in the case of Oliver plus Ellis O'Reilly in gymnastics, we don't have anyone even close to that level who is native born.

Then we don't send them and give a few quid to a home athlete at a targeted sport.

    Whoop-di-dooo-di-DAH!!! :D:D:D:D

Hows about that for an evening to restore your faith in life!!!

The atmosphere in the club was only magic, they had a HUGE screen out on the platform, and we all nearly died with stress of it all!

Such a brilliant evening, and such a brilliant result - and to see her fighting back the tears again, but this time with joy, was (I'm not afraid to admit) blubb-inducing

In fact, my BIL got so excited with it all he fell off our boat when they went out racing afterwards :D:D:D (Needless to say we didn't win tonight's race!)

And I even got my mug onto the 9o'c news

Hope they give her coach Rory some credit. He seems to have been with her from the outset, on the hard road all the way along. Cant think of his second name but they seem to be a great team together.
Fitzpatrick, and his parents were there tonight lashing into the champagne!

Credit is absolutely due to him as well - when she was out in the sleet and hailstones and freezing cold - as I witnessed one winter's day when it was so windy and miserable and the hailstones hurt so much that I chickened out of walking the East Pier, but there she was careering around the harbour in her Laser - he was by her side in the RIB, coaching away.

    Congratulations Team Annalise!!!

And well done the boys getting into the skiff final - they seem to have had a shocker of a day today, which is such a shame having done so well all week :(

Roll on the welcome home party!!! :D

Fourth after round 3, only .2 of a point off third, though there's a fairly big queue of divers just behind him on the scoreboard.

He's done brilliantly given his virtual non profile before these Games.

They get through the rounds pretty quickly. Won't be too long after 11 that's it done

Its a pity Laugher scraped through the semi final

The Chinese lad (great bunch), seems to have this tied up. Dingley still up there in fourth, only .2 behind third place. He seems to be very good on the low difficulty dives, but doesn't seem to have many higher tariff dives in his arsenal.

Drama in the Kierin on BBC1

Someone overtook the lad on the motorbike

    Equivalent of a false start

Kenny (GB) could be in trouble

Where is Dingley (Dell is all I can think of when I type that!) in the running order in this?

He was up in 3rd just there, but I presume that won't last?

    (apologies, I'm playing catch-up here)

From RTE website ... no profile here, but obviously has a bit of talent.

Seems strange that he never got selected for UK.
Diving: Oliver Dingley has looked like a man on a mission over the last 24 hours. The English-born Dingley, who qualifies to represent Ireland through his grandmother, won four British titles before switching allegiances to Ireland in 2014. It's easy to see why he made that decision. He had hoped to compete at what, let's be honest, were his home Games in 2012. He finished second in Britain's trials for London 2012, but his Olympic hopes were dashed when the blazers selected the man who finished third ahead of him. They'd also never picked him for a World Championship or World Cup, despite his multiple national titles. Curious stuff. He'll be itching to finish ahead of Jack Laugher here, who currently lies 14th.

Another decent dive in Round 4 but low difficulty, will drop him down a bit. Can't see him getting a medal but a very good effort so far. Brit commentator can't resist a pop regarding his nationality every time he steps up.

Was just thinking that myself now that I'm an expert on diving :p

Once did a bomb from a pool in Isle of man.

He has been fourth pretty much all the way through. Chinese lad is running away with it and Laugher from GB is second. Dingley may drop down to fifth this round after a low tariff dive and the German, show was in fifth putting in a very god dive.

Confusion reigns at the velodrome. Even more than normal.

Nobody being disqualified from the Kierin. All back to the start. Here we go again

A strange type of event, that Keirin - it's like a makey-up sport, in my opinion (I admit I know nothing about it)
