    Haha thanks Marc.

Im confused whether the plastic on the plug where it says "Power Supply Unit, MODEL" is meant to be removed. If yours hasn't caught fire yet, I'll leave it alone :pac:

I was kinda kidding, but I didn't remove any plastic from my charger and it's grand :)

just bought my gold edition this morning with an otter box white case to go with it, any opinions on whether I need a screen protector also or would the case be enough?

    Thanks.

there's a pre applied plastic screen protector on the phone. no need to take it off unless you want a glass one instead

Update: DHL messaged me and item will be delivered by Monday ;)

Question for all the lads buying the gold phone - is it for personal use or is it to be the office phone in the salon you all work in?

My soft gold version with bamboo cover was delivered this morning :)

Was worried it might be a bit gaudy but it really is a stunning looking device in this colour scheme, feels a lot more premium than the opo. Felt like a change from the all black.

The pre applied screen protector actually seemed fine except that it's edges are very visible as it doesn't go right to the edge - had to take it off as it was too distracting

Has anyone used the alert slider app that was linked a few pages back. I just can't get it to work properly and think it's something I'm doing

What setting does your phone need to be on pre install as I'm pretty sure this is where I have gone awry

Orders now put on hold until September. Still available on the UK store though.

Got the phone today delighted with it so far. One thing that annoys me about it is the emojis symbols. I prefer the look of them on the Samsung. Have tried to find them on the store but no luck. I will probably have to root the phone and change the rom. Any good roms available for it yet.?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,777 ✭✭✭sentient_6

^^^ Alright calm down, try different keyboards to start with. Custom roms wont change anything.

Good to see you have a sense of humour and changed your ways (although you still abhor the better looking soft gold OP3 :D)

For those who ordered the Gold variant how long did it take for it to be delivered? I'm assuming it's the Graphite version that's taking too long to be shipped because the Gold one has only been out for a week yeah?

P.S. I already have a Graphite version, the above question was for a friend who intends to order the gold variant. Cheers !
I ordered as soon as sales opened for it, 11am on Aug 1, and it was delivered this AM.

Thank you, so i'm guessing it only takes a week ;) Same as my Graphite one.

I hope she ordered it before they stopped sales of phones for a month, starting from yesterday

I am. Install SnapVPN, chose UK as location and it should install. Once the download starts you can exit from SnapVPN and the download will continue.

I was able to order today through the UK site. Seems sales are only paused in certain areas!

Thanks, I thought they'd have it released to everyone at this stage.

    Weird.

Maybe its because I don't have a sim in.

Is the One plus 3 bigger than the Vodafone Ultra 6?

Of course it does...if you're Donald Trump.

No it's actually a tiny bit smaller on each side and a bit slimmer, I upgraded from the SU6 (which I thought was a great device for the money and even compared to devices worth more) but I haven't looked back since getting the OP3.

I had a look on the Oneplus forum there yesterday about it. They said they disabled it as the new update was causing a battery drain.
But there was a link there if you wanted to do it by USB
