Mine never breaks a shear bolt, what would the reason for that be? I hit a stone yesterday and broke a blade but not the shear bolt. I'm sure more damage could be happening when the shear bolt should be breaking and isn't.
what strength of a shear bolt is in it? I got mine from the guy I bought the topper from, they say 8.8 on the head of them with a locking nut on it

The 2 parts of the Hardy-Spicer joint that the shear bolt connects, are rusted together probably.
This is why the first shear bolt of the year seems to be made of "better stuff" then all the subsequent ones ........

Ours busted the shaft last time out, when I checked there was a stainless bolt in place of the shear bolt. :(

8.8 I'm sure but not near it at the minute, I don't think I've changed one for about 2 years. Should I leave well enough alone or open it up and maybe free it a bit?, I'm afraid of wrecking the whole thing as some of our ground is rough enough.

ye prefer the shearbolt to go than a blade or the shaft

Field is called the rox, plenty of rocks just peeping through on the ground, broke 4 on the first run around the field
I get a local lad with a mini digger and rock breaker on it to put down corner posts and he takes out a few of those every time I come across one. Found a new one last week in a bit of rough ground I'm doing up atm so when he comes again, we'll take that one out too. You would get a good few out in an hour.

This land was all furze bushes and rock, when the motorway went through we removed most of the rock and furze bushes. Not many rocks left, it hasnt been topped in a few years . King pin went in digger today and got it fixed and back tyre just blew on it there now

You learn something new every day :)
This evening I discovered that dragonflies hunt/feed on midges. I watched one performing aerial acrobats around me while I was trimming weeds under the fence. I never before thought about what dragonflies eat.
For those who are into dragonflies it was large, mid brown in colour, with a thickish hairy body.

They love eating me too especially when I'm out at the bog footing turn.
I suppose it's handy that we have a lake on part of the farm. Lots of dragonflies/damselflies around the lake shore but the field that I was working in is about 5 hundred meters uphill away from the lake. I was surprised to see it so far from the shore and how large it was.

A couple of people I know have gotten massive relief by cutting certain things out of their diet- bit of trial and error and keeping a food diary of what they eat and when they get the headaches.

For your current one, you could try jumping into a bath with some ice cubes. Mightn't cure the migraine but it'll take you mind off it :)

I used to get them regularly when I was in my teens/twenties and would feel nauseous as well. I found Nurofen Plus helped to ease the throbbing. I bought extra heavy curtains for the bedroom to block out light.
I normally got them coming home after attending a show with cattle/horses. My Doctor recommended that I keep myself well hydrated, eat small amounts of food regularly and if I got really bad he would prescribe me Valium. Apparently Valium calms the nerve endings which reduces the pain.
Thankfully I don't get them as regurarly as I used too.

There's Skimmers, and Darters, and Chasers, and Hawkers. They're very territorial too and aggressive.
As nymphs some of them can eat small fish and even give you a nice little bite.

I used to find 7 up didn't agree with me and I would get a migraine after drinking it. For others it can be chocolate.
Could even be your eyesight is getting bad and need new glasses.
Especially in this strong Sun might be better wear sunglasses or/and baseball cap.
Maybe even too much time at computer screen and smartphone screen.

What triggers it for me is flashing bright led lights or that low winter sun. So that's why I always have sun glasses on. Luckily I don't get them too often and I know the warning signs within an hour before a fully blown migraine which is blurred vision and a temperature. I took migralieve tablets which did the trick and went to bed at 7 and closed the curtains
