Where's the criticism of the teleprompter? I thought we all hated them. Or is it only when Obama uses them.

Fox used to go to town when Obama used a teleprompter.

Did a nice 180 complimenting Trumps use of it during the RNC.

I don't care about teleprompters. What is said is what matters, and being able to continue if the teleprompter breaks down.

    Did it break down?

Not that I know of, presume it all went smoothly.

The only thing that interrupted the teleprompter were protesters and applause.

13 women protesters and one man, the man was shouting 'Trump has small hands, Trump has small hands...', Trump just ignored and waited for him to be removed.

Therefore violence against Trump supporters does not exist?

Sure in the US shooting someone to end an argument is the equivalent of here telling someone to p*** off.

The criticism was that Obama exclusively used a teleprompter and was unable to give a speech without one. That he was an empty suit, only parroting what someone else had written for him. Trump can give a speech with or without a teleprompter. Granted, Trump is much better with a teleprompter… when the protesters allow people to actually here what he has to say, that is.

I'm surprised the Harvard Republican Club statement that they will not be supporting their own party's nominee hasn't been discussed here.

Donald Trump holds views that are antithetical to our values not only as Republicans, but as Americans.

Donald Trump had been awarded an honorary doctorate (DBA) by Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen Scotland in 2010. In late 2015 Robert Gordon University stripped Donald Trump of his doctorate for Republican primary campaign comments "wholly incompatible" with university ethos and values, which were similar reasons why Harvard Republican Club decided not to endorse Donald Trump.

Future elite establishment republicans won’t endorse the candidate that fights against the elite republican establishment. Wow!

A statement from Kirk Jing, president of Harvard Law School’s Republican group regarding Harvard Republican Club’s letter.

“The Harvard Republican Club speaks for itself, as does their statement." “It fittingly concludes with a fake quote from Tocqueville, misrepresenting both him and Trump to contort reality into fitting ideological clichés. Fortunately, actual Republican voters concluded that elites do not have a right to rule simply because they can recite tired political clichés in lieu of everyday reality.”

When do you think the Nobel committee will strip Barack Obama of his Nobel Peace Prize?

This is starting to get brutal, we are still 3 months off but the gap is just getting bigger and bigger. He'll need a turnaround and soon, because as is Trump is beginning to really flounder.

Latest poll: Clinton leads Trump by 13 points among likely voters.

That it is among likely voters is especially more damning on Trump, and if anyone is wondering the pollsters are highly respected, with an A+ rating on Nate Silver's 538.com

Not only did the Scottish university strip Donald Trump of his honorary doctorate, but he was stripped at the same time of "Business Ambassador for Scotland" by the Scottish Government because Donald Trump was "no longer fit" to represent the country's business interests.

Trump during the primaries called Jeb Bush weak and pathetic.
Now Jeb Bush's son has said it is a bitter pill but he will be supporting Trump.

Is this keeps up it could lead to a low turnout in the general election and thus reduces the Democrats chances of making gains in the House and Senate

It exists. Just like violence from Trump supporters to Clinton supporters exists. The difference here is, one candidate called for violence and offered to pay the legal fees for their fans who assaulted people, while the other did not.

Every living former president, national security directors, advisors, former cabinets and plenty of Republicans oppose Trump. The fact one member of the Bush family supports Trump is neither surprising or significant.

I'm glad to see he is tanking as I believe having a person who borders upon psychopathy is not a good choice of leader.

Not surprising since Trump threatened to pull all investments from Scotland after losing a wind farm battle and Scotland’s threat to not let him in the country. There goes £500 million - from the Menie Estate in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire and £200 million from Turnberry, a golf course in Ayrshire. But I guess they don’t really care about investments, jobs and revenues. The Trump organization is responsible for about 34,000 jobs worldwide and brings in revenues of $9.5 Billion and provides tax revenues to governments. I guess that doesn't fit well with the country's business interests. So, Scotland might prefer Hillary who brings nothing to the table and only knows how to tax and spend. Good for them. I guess they still haven't run out of other people's money, yet.

And yet one of his main campaign talking points is bringing jobs home.

Scotland has principles as a nation, that's why they stripped Donald Trump of both his honorary doctorate and Scotland's Ambassador for Business, suggesting that the Scots cannot be bought by billionaire Donald Trump.

Donald Trump continues to have problems with principals in his own Republican party. Former Republican Governor of Michigan William Milliken announced that he will not be voting for Donald Trump, for similar reasons why the Harvard Republican Club, Scottish university, and Scottish government do not support him:

"This nation has long prided itself on its abiding commitments to tolerance, civility and equality. We face a critically important choice in this year's presidential election that will define whether we maintain our commitment to those ideals or embark on a path that has doomed other governments and nations throughout history."

Indeed, Trump had some history in Scotland with his investments long before his candidacy. A controversial character there to say the least.

If the doomsday scenario happens and Trump becomes president, I’ve got the perfect solution to one of our biggest problems. I’m sure Scotland’s principles line up with Trump’s neighbors there who flew Mexican flags next to his properties when he visited recently. So, in keeping with Scottish principles, president Trump can export all our 11 million illegal aliens to Scotland. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind, cause, you know... principles and all. It will be huugge.

I even have a slogan for the transfer… “A haggis in every pot and a couple of illegal aliens in every garage.”

Is this the type of reasoning used by Donald Trump when addressing US international relations and diplomacy? If so, then all the warnings of the Harvard Republican Club, Scottish university, Scottish government, and former Republican Governor of Michigan have merit.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is a proud representation of a large chunk the Donald Trump fan base.

No need for reason, no need for evidence of claims, no need for honesty, no need for decency, no need for consistency, no need for diplomacy, no need for economic sense (good luck keeping your country afloat if you dropkick 11mn out all at once! :pac: ), no need for logic, and no need to address the issues.

Need for insults and trolling though, that's always strong and consistent and very, very necessary. Craved, even. 4chan in adult form.
