I'd expect comedy tent, there's not been a peep about that yet (assuming it's still going to be there)

Would love that, but alas can't see both Chemical Brothers and Massive Attack on the Friday and hard to see them leaving Bristol on Sunday morning to play EP after a big party gig in their hometown. Hope I'm wrong.

Teenage Fanclub starting their tour in Bristol on the Saturday so a possibility for the Fri but too much to hope for?

Brian Wilson also has the Friday free but it would mean cramming in too many gigs so again unlikely. Same with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Beak> may be one for another year too.

Slight chance of a return for Grandaddy if the Vicar St gig sells out.

More possible are Squeeze, Two Door Cinema Club, Joanna Newsom, Scritti Politti, Sunflower Bean & Cat Power. I also feel that there's a bigger act than the above that's still a possibility but I'd feel the wrath of some boardsies if I dared mention them.

Btw The Shins are Sat or Sun as they're playing London on the Friday.

No guarantee the chemical brothers will play Friday night despite what their Web page says.

That's true, but I'd happily wager on it as their site gives very specific days for each of their festival dates.

    from the facebook page:
Pink Moon Camping customers can now upgrade their tickets to VIP access for €65. VIP tickets allow you access to the guest area at Electric Picnic which includes luxury toilets, fully stocked bar, food traders, yurts and a chill out area.

seems fairly pointless waste of money really. proper toilets already in pink moon, and a bar, plenty of places to chill out pretty much everywhere. I imagine its prob something like the 3penthouse. Dont do it!

See couldn't see anywhere that there's a bar in pinkmoon? Is it open late?

That VIP access comes as standard with the other boutique camping options. There's a bar area to the right hand side of the main stage. The food stall is a pizza place.

It's nice enough in there and handy location but I don't think it's worth 65 extra.

They have flush toilets in there (for those for whom that matters) but, in the couple of years I had access, there were large queues and/or some were out of service. The late bar was very useful (usually has Guinness on tap)when the main arena bars closed at 11pm but no longer a bonus now that they serve until 1am. Not worth 65 Euros.

What have they in pink moon, shovels?

I'm 50/50 on the pink moon, was offered half a tent at face value...still thinking the other campsites might be more crack at night though, none of the shush nonsense.

Pink moon have good toilets and the bar is open late enough I think. Not sure what time it serves until though but people are definitely in there at all hours either drinking their own and listening to the music playing in it also. It's a good place to hang out late in pink moon if you go back to the campsite.

I paid for the Pink Moon VIP extra last year, and didn't use it once. The Pink Moon regular facilities were great, so I didn't need to.

100% worth it. Clean toilets and showers (be smart when timing the shower or you'll get caught up in some queues). Extra security. You won't hear any real horror stories associated with pink moon in terms of a**holes burning tents and the likes. The entrance to the arena is extremely close to EA and main stage. Stayed there last year. Staying again this year. Totally worth it.

Not having to carry a tent and tent accessories (like sleeping bag, mattress etc.) is a massive benefit. The toilets are really well maintained, and of a much higher quality than the arena toilets. The showers looked really well maintained too, and lots of them, so if you get up reasonably early, you'll get one without having to queue. Only problem is when the arena side entrance closes, it's a hell of a trek to get to the other entrance. And make sure you don't arrive for registration at the same time as everyone else, last year I was pretty early and still had to queue for 3 hours, and it was miserable.

Do they have that service at EP where you can buy a slab of cans in advance and pick it up inside?

Yeah they do. Think it's located in the Jimi hendrix campsite. You will pay well over the odds for what you would pay in the office licence though.

Yep will probably be up online at some point, but yeah you can order a case online and pick it up at the festival site.

I'll check out the prices but I don't mind paying a bit more, within reason, if it means I don't have to carry a slab with me while I'm queuing.
