And there's far more white people in the US than black. Your point?

Yes but black people commit about 50% of the crimes, so their dealings with police would be about the same.

Is this the same FBI that want to lock Edward Snowden up for life but found Hilary C had no case to answer? It is, ok then

The same FBI that was directed by Eric Holder to launch a civil rights investigate into slew of police shootings of black men and found nothing.

Wow, that's great evidence that the FBI aren't racist isn't it... do you have a clue what you're typing?

You're grasping, just like the other guy you're reflexively stating "I don't like what he did so it can't have been brave" and falling flat on your face when it comes to actually explaining why.

Do you think Brevik was brave? Or Dylan Roof?

What you're doing is fairly obvious.

Yes, I'm sure Eric Holder, a black man appointed by Obama would have a good idea about whether to trust the FBI. They found nothing because there was no evidence of racism. There was no controversy about the findings from anyone trustworthy. The FBI has a good record (recently) of being unbiased. Jim Comey is well regarded by all as a consummate professional. The FBI are the college boys of law enforcement.

I don't think they were brave but I don't think they were cowards either. I think calling these people cowards is a cop out.

You think its not cowardly to attack unarmed women and children with a semi automatic pistol and hollowpoint ammo? Just to make sure.

    What is cowardly to you?

    coward
    ˈkaʊəd/Submit
    noun
    1.
a person who is contemptibly lacking in the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things.

I do not support such actions, but I don't describe them with the same words as you. I call them evil. Psychopathic. Callous. Not cowardly. We have different understandings of the word, clearly. To me, calling someone like that a coward is like calling them a big fat stupid head. It doesn't begin to describe the reality of their persona.

Just checking here. For or against paedophilia. You haven't made your position clear on this for some reason.

(yes, this is a joke about how you demand somebody "defend" themselves against an accusation that you and only you seems to think arise from a completely different statement)

Considering there are 30 times more black people than cops, it seems cops are about 10 times more like to be shot dead by perps than they are to shoot a black person dead and that's including justified police shootings. How many cops are killed justifiably?

I think 99% of people are going to call them cowards, and everyone is going to understand the usage.

Maybe 1% of people will consider them brave, courageous and fearless. They'll have to spend a lot of time explaining their usage. But yeah, maybe you are right.

Couldn't answer so general purpose deflection. Oh you have an agenda? Now I don't have to answer anything. Neat trick huh.
Fair enough. Don't imagine you're anything but obvious though.

What is this, pathetic internet argument memes 101?

317% of people agree with me BTW.

And yet when asked to explain what they mean by "coward" the answer is "you have an agenda" or "99% of people agree with me" or "because I said so".
    What convincing arguments.

Once again on Thursday night we witnessed yet another bloody gun rampage with a military style assault rifle.

No we didn't. The SKS is a WW2 era semi auto, using a fixed magazine reloaded by the use of stripper clips. Even under California's recent stupidity, which has earlier this month declared three of my four rifles as evil assault weapons, the SKS is perfectly legal.

A significant part of the problem with us police using excessive force lies with the training personnel and equipment supplied to them. They are staffed with ex military people and supplied with military equipment, and as the saying goes If the tool you have is a hammer then all problems are a nail.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 75 ✭✭dimwittedrep

It's interesting that some people are insistent that the shooter was a coward when the police themselves used a remote controlled robot to blow up the suspect.
    Brave brave joystick operator...

It's like a vicious circle, the police are becoming more militarized, the criminals and gangs are becoming more heavily armed

One way to deescalate is to decrease the military influence among the police forces, increased training...... and on the other side, make it more difficult for joe public to obtain deadly weapons

Yeah, they should definitely have risked their lives using conventional methods to capture/kill the guy who had already shot 11 of them.

Wouldn't want people to think they are cowards after all.

What is your point exactly or is this just more teenage, anti-police bollocks?

The same way Al Sharpton did. They're a major player in the outrage industry. More dispassionate and cynical elements of this will keep the hate alive in the expectation of personal fame and fortune.

I saw footage of cop hating protesters scattering in every direction away from the gunfire when the bullets started flying. Which direction do you think the cops were running?

Yeah because it's "Joe Public" killing 11,000 people every year.

    It's a hilarious argument really.

Cops are bad. Only cops should have guns.
