His resume at HW isn't anything special. Barnatt, Mir, Nelson.
At LHW he has beaten a few top guys, but came up short against Jones.

He doesn't belong anywhere near a GOAT conversation until he becoems the lineal LHW champ. His current belt is a paper title.

Roy Nelson was never a prime HW. He'll beat the average HW but consistently loses to the likes of JDS, Miocic, Hunt, Reem, Werdum etc. His position then is exactly as it is now.
Before that it was Dion Staring in strikeforce. Who's that?
Barnatt ~2012 is the most noteworthy HW win on his record. And the fact Barnatt pissed clean probably diminishes it a little :pac::pac::pac:

What's revisionist?
Nelson has consistently beaten HWs outside the top 10, and lost to the top 6 or 8. He's never been a title contender.
He's in the same place now as he always was as far as I'm concerned. He'll still knock out all but the top guys.

If I remember Barnatt was on a serious win streak in different orgs so that is another top legit hw win,

Barnatt was also on a serious steroid streak.
UFC HW is weak as piss, different orgs are further below that.

The Manner of them wins were more impressive than the records of the fighters he was in no bother that I remember,

He beat Gus easier than Jones did too hes legit top 5 p4p if he beats jones he can be talked of the best ever,again p4p is up to personal opinion.

Sure they were handy wins and you can only beat the guys in front on you. But beating a few mid tier HWs plus 2 top LHWs easily does not make you the GOAT imo.

He has a long way to go before he gets close to the reigns of Mighty Mouse, Cruz, Jones, or Aldo, GSP, and Silva in their prime.

I'd like to see him go to HW and Jones to chase him there too
