DC looked in good shape, hoping he can make a good fight of it.

I think Hunt will upper cut him unconscious when he shoots a take down Brocks best hope is getting him against the cage I think and initiating the grappling from there, hunt aint in great shape but he will go all day Brocks Cardio will be suspect I think.

Apart from Jones/Cormier there's no edge to none of it (outside the octagon) all very civil and quite boring....this is where McGregor comes into his own and why he's the money fight

As he and his coach said, is it fights you want or not?

Genuine animosity, such as the Cormier/Jones scenario is great but it is not necessary to make a good fight.

Nothing wrong with respecting your opponent and I prefer they not put on some fake rivalry if there is none.

If DC beats Jones this weekend (I think/hope he will) Does that put him up there with Silva and GSP as G.O.A.Ts?

Not in my book it wouldn't... Long way to go yet imho.

Jones cv is the best ever imo,the way he beats people at their own game is incredible no crazy ko power or anything just skill everywhere,Im intrigued by this fight more than a lot of people I gave him the last one by a round and his rusty win over OSP has me thinking DC could edge this everyone gets bet in mma eventually could be his turn now.

Jones is and will be in the future, in the GOAT discussion (IMO he is) and given everything else in DC's resume both at Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight if he gets the win he certainly deserves to be talked about in a pretty small circle of fighters, in the GOAT discussion I don't know but can certainly make a case for it alright.

His resume at HW isn't anything special. Barnatt, Mir, Nelson.
At LHW he has beaten a few top guys, but came up short against Jones.

He doesn't belong anywhere near a GOAT conversation until he becoems the lineal LHW champ. His current belt is a paper title.

Wrong, your basing them hw wins on their positions today in the division, they were all pretty much prime when he whooped all them, they are legit dominant hw wins.

Great little line from Brock at the end, only wish Caraway was there to hear it so we could see the helpless look on his face. :pac:

So because you categorically state they were in their prime, all other opinions are wrong. LMFAO. Pull the other one.

Mir in 2013. Almost 5 years after Mir held the HW belt. And during the worst losing streak of Mir's entire career. Not in his prime.
Roy Nelson was never a prime HW. He'll beat the average HW but consistently loses to the likes of JDS, Miocic, Hunt, Reem, Werdum etc. His position then is exactly as it is now.
Before that it was Dion Staring in strikeforce. Who's that?
Barnatt ~2012 is the most noteworthy HW win on his record. And the fact Barnatt pissed clean probably diminishes it a little :pac::pac::pac:

''Pretty much'' isnt categorically tbf so relax yourself,

Firstly Mir was coming off one loss (the hw title) to Dos Santos, before that he'd wins over crocop nog and country nelson,

Again revisionist history on nelson not a champion but a legit top heavyweight who wasnt shot when he whooped him,

If I remember Barnatt was on a serious win streak in different orgs so that is another top legit hw win,

The Manner of them wins were more impressive than the records of the fighters he was in no bother that I remember,

He beat Gus easier than Jones did too hes legit top 5 p4p if he beats jones he can be talked of the best ever, again p4p is up to personal opinion.

I'd fancy him to win the HW belt if he loses this week.

I was referring moreso to your definitive "Wrong".

None of who were top HWs. That's my point??
Again revisionist history on nelson not a champion but a legit top heavyweight who wasnt shot when he whooped him,
    What's revisionist?
Nelson has consistently beaten HWs outside the top 10, and lost to the top 6 or 8. He's never been a title contender.
He's in the same place now as he always was as far as I'm concerned. He'll still knock out all but the top guys.
If I remember Barnatt was on a serious win streak in different orgs so that is another top legit hw win,
Barnatt was also on a serious steroid streak.
UFC HW is weak as piss, different orgs are further below that.
The Manner of them wins were more impressive than the records of the fighters he was in no bother that I remember,

Sure they were handy wins and you can only beat the guys in front on you. But beating a few mid tier HWs plus 2 top LHWs easily does not make you the GOAT imo.

He has a long way to go before he gets close to the reigns of Mighty Mouse, Cruz, Jones, or Aldo, GSP, and Silva in their prime.

I'd like to see him go to HW and Jones to chase him there too

    OH MY GOD:

    @arielhelwani
Jon Jones is out of UFC 200, per Jeff Novitzky. He has been flagged by USADA stemming from a test on 6/16.

Twitter has lit up with news that Jon Jones is out of UFC 200 for a potential anti-doping violation. Surely that's him done now

Hunt and Lesnar is now the main event.

    For **** sake!

Not even a week before the fight. UFC should fire him.

It happened in June, we have no idea what it is, for all we know it's a false positive or another case of contaminated supplements.

True, might have jumped the gun on that.

If its for something silly though, I can't see him getting another shot.

Surely if it turns out Jones screwed up the UFC will wash their hands of him for good this time. Horrible news for all involved including the fans. I'd imagine Brock, Hunt and Vince McMahon are thrilled though.

Brock now headlines 100 and 200!

Jon Jones, what can you say, his last ever **** up?

You're crazy if you think the UFC dump him. He's worth money, he stays. It's that simple.

Kick in the balls for the card though.
