His win over DC is one of the most overated wins I can remember,a lot of people seem to think he won that fight easily, done nothing of the sort and as a fan of Jones I'd be quite worried DC will beat him,100% will if the same JJ that showed up against osp.

Absolutely, looked like Jones wanted the rounds in that one though more then anything else. I hope so anyway cause I want to see them both at their best, much more of an even contest then the bookies have it priced at for sure

100% agree. Rewatched it last night, strong case that DC took rounds 2 and 3 and he was too emotional in the fight. He has outstruck Alex since and with Jones looking rusty I think DC and rough him up in the clinch and land takedowns to point score. I think DC will take it 49-46 to be honest. I don't get the impression from Jones that he's taking DC as serious as he should.

It's a bit weird that Gomi-Miller is one I'm looking forward to almost as much as the main. I'm a big fan of Miller but he has been a shadow of his former self for the last few fights. Himself and Gomi are fighting for their jobs with this one.

He is talented but I hate his eye poking, it drives me mad, even more mad than the **** he pulls outside cage

Hey Jon, i'm cool with hitting pregnant ladies with your car and running away..... before coming back to grab some cash from the car and running away again.......

But could you relax on the eye pokes?

    :pac:

I hope Herb refs Jones as he is best ref for the leading fingers crap that Jones pulls.

He still won it pretty decisively and convincingly. The irony is that you underrating a win like that against DC is actually underrating how good DC is.

The only sliver of hope for DC is that Jones least impressive performance was his last one.

I had him winning by 1 rd,there is a perception he smoked DC which he didnt it,I rate dc top 5 p4p tbh and I think hes improved quite a bit since that fight after whooping Rumble and Gus,so im not ****ting on his win over him,I can see another close fight with little between them and If Jones shows up same as he did against OSP hes getting beaten for definite.

I wonder if the UFC were planning on these animated promo's for 200 all along? I'd like to see how Brock was to come through the Mike Judge treatment, he'd look like a roided up Beavis probably. Or a Beavis voiceover on Brocks "Can you see me now" promo :D

Except for Gegard mousasi and the Meisha Tate fight, i am pumped up for all the other fights. I bet Meisha is going to finish Amanda so will Dillashaw and Sage Norhtcutt. Everything else, is up in the air for me.

The conference call last night was gas. DC is such a dope when it comes to trash talk, he keeps digging holes, Bones doesn't even have to say anything. Have to smile whenever Hunt talks as well, really hoe he does the job. Brock is refreshing as well. A lot of fighters putting on an act lately but everything he says sounds like 100% honesty.

Starting to warm to a Brock win here just to see the boiled piss if he somehow managed it,mma fans would seeth it'd be some scene.

Absolutely buzzing for all these cards next week.

Took the Wednesday onwards off so I will be in full UFC mode from then.

Why? Doesn't he have a strong real wrestling background? He's capable of winning, so I don't know why MMA fans would be annoyed. They'd be more annoyed is CM Punk won, I'd say.

Brock got the same exemption as every other new signing to the UFC. Massively hypocritical to make this into a big deal but not care in the past

The chap signed to fight tony ferguson is the exact same as brock and theres no outcry hes not been tested for 4 months no one is complaining, all the roids in the world cant help his chin if Hunto cracks it.

people just love to sensationalize things...

I don't think it's sensationalising. There should be no exemption for Brock or anyone else for that matter. Personally I didn't complain about other people getting exemptions because I didn't realise it was a thing until Brock.

Poster department is doing some shabby work again. This is official pic too. Jones with belt over his shoulder :D can hardly see Miesha's belt

Jones is the interim LHW Champion

There is no exemption. As soon a s fighter signs to the UFC they are in the USADA testing pool. They can't be in it before they sign, as that would require a crystal ball.

I get that but there should, in my opinion, be a set amount of time where they're in the testing pool before being allowed to fight.

That would be nice, but its not practical. Locals fighters aren't usually signed with months of notice. They are more often than not last minute replacements.

More importantly, no other sports, for example Olympic sports, require an athlete to stop competing when they enter the international pool. Once you reach that level the rules apply, it would be fair to effective hand someone a ban just for reaching the top level.
Forgot about Brock the monster, and thick about it in terms for the same rules for all WADA/USADA sports.

aha I'm not sure if I'd just forgotten that tag or ignored it to the point of forgetting. Not a fan of interim belts.
