I thought I would share some ninja secret. How to make your own shirkins. (yea I can't spell).

You will need two pieces of square paper (2 inch x 2 inch is good). 

Now with your ninja skills picture the paper like so. 

1 +-----+ 2
  |_____|
  |     |
3 +-----+ 4

Fold in half so that 1 + 3 touch and 2 + 4 touch. Open paper 
again. 

So you have the fold like above. 

Now fold the half in half. So that 1+2 fold at the center and 3+4 
at the center too. 

Close the pieces together (on center fold) so you should have 1/2 
inch x 2 inch piece of paper with the folds on the inside. 

Do the same to the second piece of paper. 

you should have something like this.

  |                |
3 +----------------+ 4 (flap is here facing you)  paper is like /\ 

First piece of paper. 

Fold the corner 2 down to make a triangle. The 2-4 side should 
line up with the 3-4 side. then fold the 3 corner the same way, so 
1-3 lines up with the 1-2 side. 

Now you have...

1 +---------------+ 2
   \|a           b|\
3   +---------------+ 4

Now fold the 4 corner up so that the 'b' line is flush just above 
with the 1-2 side. Fold corner 1 down so 'a' is flush. It should look 
something like...

the two outside corners (tips) fold them over on the break to 
make a crease and put them back again. 

Now do the same with the other piece of paper however reverse 
the steps on the corners. 

So first fold the corner 4 up to make a triangle. The 2-4 side 
should line up with the 1-2 side. then fold the 3 corner the same 
way, so 1-3 lines up with the 1-2 side. Again for the rest do in 
reverse. You should end up with something like...

Now put the two together in the shape of a cross. the center 
parts with the breaks should be facing outwards. Something like...

Now fold the top triangle and put the point under the fold in the 
middle. Do the same for the bottom. turn it around and fold the 
left/right sides in the same way.

You should now have your ninja star ready for throwing.
