Would anyone have ITV's Frequency no etc to try other channels

All the frequencies are in post 74 on page 4 of the "How to tune in extra BBC channels" thread. The thread is a sticky at the top of the page.

Erm, it is going FTA one way or another, it just depends on When. Its FTA status is utterly guaranteed, just not the date.

    10906 V 22,000 5/6 is where you'll find UTV

    10758 V 22,000 5/6 for ITV2

So what do we think the chances of having UTV in the clear tomorrow are?

I stll have the feeling we will be seeing the 08 screen.

I'm in London and tonight ITV4 is on my channel list (TV Card in my PC FTA through the rooftop aerial). I have had it on the last 15 minutes and it is not Men and Motors but promoting programmes to be broadcast.
Exactly the same on SkyDigital 10072

Both saying it will be available on Freeview and NTL from Nov 1st.

I haven't heard much more comments on ITV being FTA tomorrow apart from what was heard here, and from a supplier.

But, as already said, if not tomorrow, it will happen soon. Wait and see!

Yep ITV4 promo and MM both fine on Sat PC Card and Palcom DSL4 FTA box.

Only MM on both Digiboxes EPGs (20:20 31st Oct).

We'll see tomorrow evening about UTV.

Anyone waiting to see if they turn the switch at midnight?

Or 9.00 am or when ITV4 starts at tea time..

UTV we have waited so long read so much bull and after all that the channel is a load of bull.

Lets have channel 4 thats the one I would really love to see in nice digital widescreen.

Lets hope that channel 4 tell sky to get lost and join BBC and ITV on this free sat idea.

I hope there isn't any confusion here between ITV4 going FTA on Nov 1st and the whole ITV network doing the same.

I'll be here at midnight, but remember, when the BBC went FTA, it took a couple of hours to turn FTA on all transponders, and that was from 8am to 11am.. I dont think NTL (or now Arqiva) will be around at the stroke of midnight...

What is bugging me is that, not that I'm doubting the guys who have supplied the info, (they are quality members of ICDG, good guys and no reason to doubt them) but that we haven't heard a dicky anywhere else; on other forums or sites. I'm really hoping this is ICDG's biggest scoop :D

I'm hoping it will start at the magical ITV time of 9:25am.... :)

It'd be hilarious if GMTV refused to go clear and we had 6:00->9:25 every weekday morning encrypted on UTV and ITV2. Or does ITV PLC own that franchise too?

Not yet. Disney hold 25% of it. SMG sold their interest in it last year to ITV plc.

Sorry all, but I'm with the sceptics here - can't see it happening.

    Again, why not?

They ARE going FTA. Their contract with Sky is a rolling monthly contract, 1st to the (28|29||30||31) of the month. They're modifying uplink settings, etc anyway tomorrow, and so on.

The most important this is that they ARE going FTA. No guarantee of when, but it is happening.

Well here comes midnight and I have to say I don't think ITV will go free to air until next year.

Tried it at 12.03 and guess what 08 message and the usual blue screen

Its not going to go FTA at midnight (and hasn't, in fact) as theres not a hope in hell theres an engineer at the uplink facility tonight to pull the NDS boxes offline. As it is, they also have feck knows how many ITV1 regions to do it for?

Give it till 10:30 at the least.

I think its time for a good nights sleep. For those expecting this to happen at midnight, it just doesn't happen precisely then.
