Anything I should be doing in particular? I know good standard oil is needed, what kind? (Don't that know much about cars tbh)

Fully sysnthetic to correct spec, Mobil 1 or oil from Ford shop, I not use part synthetic in 1.6 PSA engine.

Best of luck with it you'll need it. Hopefully you have less hardship than I had with mine. Although from the picture it looks well minded. Just keep an eye on the engine that's the main thing. Also service it every 10k km if anyway possible 15k km absolutely maximum.

This is a good write up from the DIY forum.
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056915287

    Long story short
these engines do not tolerate neglect or improper servicing, which can lead to oil-ways becoming clogged, which in turn can starve the turbo of oil and even write-off the engine itself.
The indicated service schedule is 12,500 miles / 12 months for oil and filter replacement. Our car does ~ 16,000 miles per year, and I change the oil and filter every 6 months. The obvious logic here is that reducing the service life of the oil and filter reduces the risk of the oil sludging and build up of carbon generally inside the engine.
I always recommend buying the correct stuff from Ford because it's reasonably priced (under €30 for 5L) and is fit for purpose.
