Why is the 30 and 50km red on the speedo?

Why is the 30 and 50km red on the speedo?

I assume 30 for housing estates and 50 for towns and cities.

I have no Idea tbh. I see it on alot of cars and I never really thought about it.

Also you may want to un qoute the picture bans and all that.

I think it's where you should change gear (or rather max speed you should go) in 1st and 2nd, if I remember what my auld fella told me many moons ago.

I think so, all VWs I've been in have had this and 30 and 50 are about 2/3 of the way through the rev range in 1st and 2nd.

Went for a drive out Lambs Head on the Iveragh Peninsula about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Really nice wild scenic area overlooking Derrynane beach.

My car with a house shaped like a boat!

I'm amazed that your LS430 is wrapped Bill. It really looks like paint, which is unusual for a wrap in a non-matte finish.

I see that the LS has radar cruise aswell. My own 2004 model doesn't have that, is it any use?

I tried a gs 450h with radar cruise. Worked well.
On the motorway you could let it do it's thing. Car slowed down when approaching a car in front and as soon as they got out of the lane, car zoomed on past all by itself.
