    It's a contraction of the blashpemy "Wounds of Christ!" something like the medieveal equivalent of "Fuck!" afaik. So I'd imagine it should be pronounced like wounds with a Z but I always pronounced it like hounds with a Z, seems to be the more common one and all.

    Jen: Did I actually yell, cause that seems like a really pointless and random thing to get angry over :confused:

    Not really yelling, more talking loudly over me and saying it sounds better as Z0wnds (the zero was unintentional...) when I was explaining why it's Zoonds.

    A clearly unbeatable, and flawless arguement.
    And I've always heard it pronounced Zow-nds, so that's how I pronounce it. In the extremely rare occasion that I'm actually saying it.
