Remember those crackers alright, mad scaggy things... don't think there was a micro dot in them though! They were like some of the more speckled doves from what I can remember... the ones that were more brown than white and more crumbly than hard :D

Remember Super Doves  Big deep doves that were perfect in shape and totally white, kinda of a glaze on them... they were the very best I reckon and I was only fortunate enough a few times to get my hands on them... blew the head off me the first time I did them, and took ages to come up.

The speckled doves used to have heroin in them as far as I know,
    same with the christmas crackers.....
Thats what used to give you that skagy buzz..

    Anyone ever come across Dolphins?

It was my birthday, would have been my 18th so '95. My mates had gotten them as a surprise for me - we were just meeting up in the local field with a radio and a few spliffs as you do, the bag of yokes came out that had been bought.

They were larger than your average pill, I think light green but could have been light blue. They weren't the same thickness, they were more like a smartie in shape than a regular pill.

Only ever came across them that one night, was mostly Doves and Speckled Doves around 94/95/96 when I was doing them regularly.

They made an impression though, we had a great night and talked about them a good bit after because of the sheer size of them!

After the xmas crackers in 94, i gave it a rest for a week or 2 due to lack of funds and over indulgence during the festive period. We got these bettles, exactly like speckled doves but with a beetle on them, some trip off those bad boys. Ah the memories of days gone by, only seems like yesterday the eclipse jeans be in the wash, bottle of vicks bought for a trip into town with some goodies to go with it:D, getting off the bus and walking down dame lane or over to the ormonde for a night of raving:pac::pac:

The bouncers were sound like that LOL, kick you out for colapsing, kick you out for dying and kick you out for not dancing..

There was a couple of real sound bouncers up in the Olympic, does anyone remember big Franky? He was from around Crumlin. And there was another lad how was there towards the end, Dave maybe (everyone was Dave). The first night he was working myself and one of the lads were up on the balcony with a bottle of olbis oil, Dave went mad with us and tried to drag us out, we just fell arounfd the place laughing at him. from then on we had great craic with him. He ended up in the Ormond after the Olympic closed and he'd let me in for free and bring a bag of Scumpy Jack in for afterwords - cider was lovely on the way down/home.

    Cheers,
    Mick

Class tune there mate, i'm nearly sure i had that on an old asylum tape when it mixed into a sample from the film ailens - "we're going out there to destroy them, not to study but to wipe them out"
Bmooney i reckon we've crossed paths in sides down the years, myself and my mates used to always be buzzing around in the corner just after you come down the stairs in sides.

Yeah those christmas crackers were also called Double barreled doves from what I remember about double the thickness of a normal dove with brown specks in them!

when you say glaze do you mean kinda shinny like the coating on an aspirin?

Yeah never forget the speckled doves, loved an aul scag in a corner somewhere chewin the face off myself!

The glaze was shinny yeah, like an aspirin or something... perfect white doves and the dove would be very well cut into the pill... then there were doves too that were completely white but kinda powdery on the hand, they tasted much more once they went in your mouth and came up quicker than the shinny type... I always found if they took longer to come up, they tended to be better. Oh the good ol days :(

Up on the balcony in the back corner above the mineral bar or up at the front left hand corner of the dance floor if your facing the DJ, they were my spots if I wasn't doing laps of the place.
Do you remember for the first few hours the speakers at the four balcony corners would be off and there would be one single lazer that would be on projecting straight down the middle of the hall. Then around 11 all the speakers would come on, it was like going fron mono to stereo, and the lazers would fill the hall.
Also remember the bass speakers one to left and one to the right hand sides of the dance floor under the seats in the middle, you could fell the floor vibrating under your feet if you were close enough especially to this track!

Chase - Music Is My Life.

Here is two tracks neither of which I can ever remember being played in any club I was in but they hit the spot!

P.P. Orange - My Feelings (Original Mix)

No way DjAloldskool see them trips the Purple Ohms, well thats what me and the mates knew them as.
The number 3 with the tail and hat. Completely forgot about them. They were before the strawberries. They were unbelievable. I'm sure they were the first acid I ever done, in school. We used to get them in Oliver Bond along with the hash.
Of all the times I was on acid I can only remember one real hallucination and it was off these bad boys. I was lying on the bed listening to the sounds, I had speakers on the wall one in each corner, top left and top right and I could see a rectangular thin purple neon beam perfectly surrounding each speaker, like a border or frame or at least thats what I looked like.
One of my mates eat a piece of cigarette foil paper from a cigatette box that was used to wrapped up a load of them thinking ,ah I might get something out of this. Well he did, he had to be hosed down at the local garage, he was in bits for ages the poor fella, he spiked himself:D
