WZJ90-
As far as I know it was blue originally, a friend of mine had it in Cork at one stage, he bought it from a Libyan named Ely living in Bishopstown. He was a cook on oil rigs or something along them lines.
Anyway, an undertaker told my friend that he would buy it if it was black, he told him to come back tomorrow and he 'blackened' it overnight. I can only imagine hthe 'quality' job that was done on it!

It eventually fell into disrepair and ended up painted yellow and parked on the roof of the Stardust nightclub in Cork for a good few years- somebody might have a photo of this?

I havent seen that car in years but the last I knew it was owned by a DJ in west Cork and he had fully restored it to a very high standard. He had a pic of it on his business card-attached.

theirs a ford cortina estate in their to , way at the back .
think the reg is TIC 533

I remember going to look at that many years ago, it was for sale in Crookstown and it was black and silver iifc and in very poor condition. £600 was the asking price as far as I remember it was then in the car auctions in the showgrounds for a while and Kevin tells the rest of the story:). Great to see it restored to this condition.

There was a GAScc bbq party today at the Viaduct Inn on Bandon road. I will post pics from there after I finish my dinner.

The RHD versions of these were only for the irish market, they were never available in the UK. I had one years ago.
