    I think a lot of the people here need to stay home for a bit and study a bit of geography. It is strange the places that people think of as being countries. Then of course we have people saying they have been in both the north and south of Ireland. Has nobody here been in the east, midlands or west of Ireland? I am from Dublin and if I am ever asked if I am from the north or south of Ireland, I always answer that I am from the east. Of course the most northerly point in Ireland, Malin Head, is in the so-called south! So it is no wonder some people are confused. :)

    @ Pal : Lanzarote is of the Canary Islands, along with Gran Canaria (where i currently live) and Tenerife, these are the popular touristy islands. However there are 5 more islands, smaller and less inhabited.

    Hold on a second, isn't Ireland a part of England? Why are people counting Ireland and England as separate countries???

    /END JOKE ... I worked in France for the past 18 months, and that was the opinion of the vast majority of French people. I was disgusted as I thought they would have been a bit more educated. These were pretty intelligent people too... ! :eek:
