tbh John, if I could sell my current Virgin and Mockingbird, and got that fellow and the custom stealth instead, I'd be one happy camper altogether.

And of course, a Mark IV to run 'em through. :D
    Sweetness divine!

    Har dee har har...

Well, to be quite honest, I don't think I'd really ever sell my current BC Riches, as I'd never get anywhere near as much money comparative to how much they mean to me, so it would be pointless altogether.

Plus it means you've got more guitars which is never a bad thing. I'm still too fumbly on the guitar to warrant buying a new one, I'll just bash away at my Epi Les Paul for a while (although in saying that there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, especially for what I do).

I want an Epi LP. But Doc J won't let me :p

Pfft... I'm sure there's far better guitarists out there who don't have half the gear I do already. The way I look at it is that if you enjoy it, and really enjoy playing, then that pretty much justifies any price tag as long as you're willing to pay it.

    Oh... Tell me more

Well then ignore his advice! I mean, I ignore you concerning the Stealth.

Or just don't tell him. And if he ever tries to see the guitar, keep hiding it and blocking the headstock using hilarious "Weekend At Bernies" tactics.

Yes, but he has good advice...

Yeah, that's true... He thinks the stealth rocks so you'd be well in the right to listen to him.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

Indeed. But it's a nice guitar. And I don't like saving.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

I think the stealths look hideous. Never played one so I can't comment on what it's like. But it's ugly.

Oh, another thing I'm happy about waiting before I order yonder stealth, is the fact that I have plenty of time to play around with pickups, and I might likely have the X2N for the mockingbird soonish. Then I shall likely be very sure about what pickups I want and the like.

    Glad I made that decision.

    Indeed.

    John2, me too.

X2N seems like a good choice IMO

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,130 ✭✭✭✭Karl Hungus

Yeah, but there's no X2N for a 7 string. I'm told that the Evolution7 is the closest thing to it soundwise though, so it'll be a great and productive test run for the upcoming guitar.

Got another email from Music Zoo confirming that the guitar will indeed be a twenty FIVE fret, 25.4" guitar.
    Nice one! Definetly unique.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

    25.4" isn't standard. That's just weird :o

I know it isn't standard, but god damn I'll have one extremely unique guitar! :D

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

A wangcaster is a unique guitar too...

Yes but that's not made to my personal preferences now is it?

Christ I'm still extremely excited about the prospects of the custom Stealth!!!
I honestly don't know why you don't enquire about getting a guitar built to your exact standards.
I mean, an enquirey couldn't hurt, could it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

it could, it could lead to financial ruin!

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

I'm enquiring in my head about getting me to build a custom... At the moment, a neck through neck from stewmac or carvin and an alder body blank, some time with a drill and a router and I could have my M-II...

Here's something to think of when you get rich:

    A 9 string!
Think of the sweeps you could do on that!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

think of the amount of fumbles and bum notes I could do!

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

An extra $1000 for neck through? **** off!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,130 ✭✭✭✭Karl Hungus

Aye, that's one to order when you've more money than sense, and snorting coke from a hooker's stomach.
Probably order it while off your face too. :D
