Good man, I saw them too. They all came in a line from the west and disappeared. There was two massive shooting stars around that time.

It's actually depressing the amount of rain we are currently getting, I'd swap these mild temperatures and damp, miserable conditions for a few nice cold (not too cold 😊) dry weeks. It wasn't as bad this morning as I expected in Dublin, but the outloook is not great for today or the rest of the week sadly.

    A damp-ish morning 😁

    20.6 mm so far

There's a real risk of flooding in parts of Cork today by the time it clears after lunch. I would have thought an Orange was appropriate

driveway completely waterlogged and garden has water pooling again for the first time in over a year, gutters overflowing and the ditch opposite my house is just full of water. We really need a few dry weeks.

Very wet around Tralee, 24.0mm at my site out by the coast, (25.4mm since rain began last night ). Heavy surface water on roads and pools of water everywhere. Seeing water standing in fields now too, ground saturated, some heavy pulses of rain ongoing.

The colder, dryer weather is coming from next weekend onwards, apparently.

local road is flooded in 3 places, Meath County Council out with diggers trying to clear the ditch of blockages, huge amount of run off of water from the fields.

Heavier rain has arrived here now. Cork has had over 40mm in past 12 hours

A temporary lull in the rain for us Gonzo but I see another good pump of rain on it's way .

I believe Portugal and more western parts of Spain are getting even more rainfall than we are from the same system. Anyone know someone holidaying or from these parts?

Intense rainfall here again, this is the worst spell of weather I can remember in quiet a while, worst waterlogging I've seen in well over a year. Plenty of flooding on minor roads all around Dunshaughlin.

Went out for a bit on the lookout for the auld northern lights.

Christ, the sky is crazy bright. The moon even at 50% is so bright, combined with standard Dublin light pollution.

Maybe someone with some better darkness will have seen something. Strong storming tonight.

Very high rainfall totals showing on the Met office deep dive on Friday for eastern and southeastern areas I'd say orange warnings possibly even red warnings ⚠️ depending on how slow that rain is. Especially in a easterly wind and gusts could hit 80km/h to 110km/h totting up the rain totals

Local Cumann na mBunscoil finals postponed this weekend in Meath - unplayable pitches :( 🌧️

Dry for now this morning. Cold. 8° Meath.

If the met office predictions of 50-100mm of rainfall on Friday are true we are in serious trouble. The land around Dunshaughlin can't take any more major deluges without serious flooding.

another yellow rain warning for Cork until 11pm this evening. Not great really lots of flooding around already, absolutely saturated.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 927 ✭✭✭Robwindstorm

Fog all day here in Meath. Anyone get any sunshine?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 13,021 ✭✭✭✭Cluedo Monopoly

It was a beautiful starry sky last night but I didn't notice any northern lights.

The south seems to be getting a lot of rainfall lately. November is the worst month of the year in my opinion.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?
