Philip, what happened to the topic on the Garda releasing public photos of shoplifters, a la Garda Patrol?

    Today in Stage 7, PBH

Children tortured by the hands of the State. Compo wanted, not fair being ignored.

Its probably got something to do with making sure any findings are 'found' after the next election.... also 5 years gives enough time to calm the public outrage....(and for a few more of the perverts to die off)

I hope that abomination of an 'advert' which was obviously fillumed while he was on one of his many breakeens.... comes back to haunt him and railroads his presidential campaign

Never mind the state, the population at the time has a lot to answer to, it was common knowledge what was going on in both standard and industrial schools.

Mary Lou appears to have missed the memo that country is full. Where are 15 children and their families supposed to live?

Meanwhile, RTE have realised that their children's crèche is overrun by rodents.

For our national broadcaster the quality is absolutely shocking, every evening on drivetime there is at least 1 (one) guest thats phone line "goes down" or "breaks up"

Now the journalists given medical briefs cant even pronounce medical terms

The 'Mature Recollection' scandal, brings back memories.

It is DEI caller, the National Broadcaster no longer only hires staff who attended schools where Latin is a compulsory subject.

GAA blaming Dodgy Boxes as the main reason GAA Clubs are banjaxed! Solution, ban Dodgy Boxes and punish all users.

Maybe the RTE crèche would be better off pivoting at this stage to a rodent crèche with a child infestation. Probably easier get rid of the children.

Did anyone ask them whether a GAAGo sjbscription cost might also be a drain on household disposable income?

I hate this false outrage from the media especially rte,

Phillip is only a few years younger than me and he's pretending he didn't know beatings happened daily

But of course maybe posh schools were different

Phillips older cousins and maybe his father were probably taught by a former SS Officer, I would say he has heard a tale or two.

These guys saying that it's not about the money. If they received an apology without any compensation they would be disappointed. It's all about the money.

Beatings was standard practice back in those days. They would have to compensate everyone who went to school during them years. Everyone would say the were abused whether it happened or not.

None of this can be proven really

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,980 ✭✭✭Deeec

Sadly for this man his teacher did not do anything illegal. It was morally wrong but not illegal. I don't think he will receive an apology

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 553 ✭✭✭Dublin Calling

62 years, had a bit of this, all from lay teachers I might add.... It's time to let it go and not be diggin it up every so often like a rotting corpse to smell before it's buried again.. Move on for heavens sake, there isn't a bottomless pit of money to compensate everyone in the state who endured corporal punishment and mark my words that's where this is going.. First acknowledgement, then an apology in the dail and then the solicitors letters start flying 💶💶💶Ching-Ching

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,986 ✭✭✭mumo3

look we all know that even if compensation was awarded, it'd be tied up in red tape until these poor souls passed.

And now this one wants compensation for psychological abuse.

Jesus the Wolfe Tones are giving Elton John a run for his money with the longest farewell tour.

It should nearly be called "how can we miss you if you wont go away"
