Ah you know full well Jones was on the slide for the guts of 5 years by the time he fought Calzaghe. Prime RJJ beats him with one hand behind his back, and I loved Calzaghe.

I don’t think so. I think Calzaghe’s style and ring IQ would give any version of Roy serious problems. Calzaghe did not beat the best Roy. I know this.

I think a lot of Calz best wins come in the very late twilight of his career against fighters who were big names but well past it. Roy was 40 at that stage and had lost a lot of his reflexes and had been softened up. Roy in his prime was an incredible sight. I think he beats Joe by some distance.

I thought you’d bring up Bob as a possibility against Roy. Again, I think Roy was too fast. But I love Bob.

Back to Beterbiev, how would Spinks fare out against him?

The Spinks Jinx beats Beterbiev clean enough. Range, height, power, fitness, awkwardness. Could tough it out and rough it up as well at 175. Artur has power, but not enough to stop Spinks. I’d see it 8-4, 9-3 type score

He doesn’t stand up at all then on AT list? I dont think anyone has an easy night with him and I’m not sure many or even any stop him. Jones Jr would be my best suggestion to do that
