got final grass cut of the season finished today just before this very unsettled period begins from this weekend, barely any grass growth left at this stage so that's probably it till mid/late February depending on how mild February 2025 is.

Aurora activity expected to increase this weekend. Saturday night possibly best chance to see it further south. Weather looking a bit S for it for it though.

Drizzly oul morning in Leitrim. 11C. Managed to get the last of the lawns cut yesterday. Still lots of flowers in bloom. Everything seemed a little late this year.

I was thinking that myself yesterday. Many trees are in full leaf and the leaves seem slow to turn colour.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Not expecting anything impactful up here at present. Far south at greatest risk of seeing anything meaningful.

Siobhán had plenty of lightning bolts sprinkled over this evening's chart for tonight/tomorrow morning for the Munster area.

She mentioned the possibility of isolated thunderstorms with the predicted rainfall.

    Very stormy out there tonight.

Today was a lot milder than it looked!

A miserable morning, if any of you have the luxury of staying in bed then do!

Where are you? Satellite has blue skies over Ireland except for coastal parts of Leinster.

Not ideal but it should move east as the morning goes on. I hope the folks in the southern counties impacted by all the rain yesterday are having a clear day.

Glad it's nice for the rest of you, honestly it couldn't be more miserable in Dublin!

At least rain has eased off, I'll give it another hour then we will put on the wellies and head to park for a walk.

Still lashing here in Dublin, hasn't got better at all.

We are the coldest spot in the country at moment at 13 degrees, that doesnt happen that often!

Ditto, also in Longford. Lovely warmth in the frequent sunny spells and winds are light too. Nudging towards 17° now.
